Help! have just found a packet of chocolate muffins (five days out of date, so a bit stale!) lurking - any ideas as to what to do? - the thought of throwing them out bugs me somewhat!

Hi, I have two raw chicken drumsticks (spare from last night) in fridge and two rashers of bacon. I want to add them to a pasta bake for tea tonight (OH bought some jars that were on offer). My question is how would you cook them? Would you cook the drumsticks now and add to pasta bake later or scrape raw meat from bone and fry off with bacon. I take it it's not a good idea to chuck it all in raw with pasta at the beginning? I'm quite confused now but I know you clever people can help.

I would cook the drumsticks first - simmer in small amount of water for 20 minutes is one way! but if you're putting the oven on anyway then you could roast them before the bake.

But I HATE dealing with raw meat!

How long's the bake supposed to be in for?

45 mins as you use uncooked pasta.

Would you cook drumsticks on the bone in the water then? I have never boiled meat.

Please help. I'm going to have to start tea pretty soon. So you can boil drumsticks? I'm going to try that then.

Imagine EVER having stale chocolate muffins.

I would have no clue what to do with them, simply would never happen in our house :)

Tho if they were in my house now I'd heat them through then cover them with custard and have for dessert :)
