I think pine nuts do go off, but you will tell if you eat one! If it tastes ok, the rest should be ok. I don't think they go 'off' straightaway, but I wouldn't keep them much longer!

Question: What do you guys mean by rubber lamb? And Rubberize chicken?

    Hi helping_hubby,

On the Old Style board if someone refers to a meat as being 'rubber' it usually means that they stretch it to make a few meals out of it.

For example, roast chicken on Sunday....chicken pie from the leftovers on Monday....chicken soup from the leftovers on Tuesday etc

    Hi LTS,

Yes you can, just add less sugar and you may need to mash them up a bit as they don't seem to break down as well as cooking apples.

It's a club of people who save any two pound coins that they get in their change when shopping.

It's on the Debt Free Wannabe board and the current thread is here:

    £2 savers club part 2

There's also a "baby sister" thread for 20p coins too that you'll find across there.

    Hi all

I've never eaten Parsley Sauce before (not a fish lover) and I found a packet in the cupboard. I wondered if I made up the packet and added cheese, would it make do as a cheesey sauce layer in a lasagne or is the taste too different?

    Thanks

I've never tried it, but I think it should be fine. Add some grated cheese and a little mustard as that helps to bring out the cheese flavour so you don't need to use so much.
