I think pine nuts do go off, but you will tell if you eat one! If it tastes ok, the rest should be ok. I don't think they go 'off' straightaway, but I wouldn't keep them much longer!0

Hi helping_hubby,
On the Old Style board if someone refers to a meat as being 'rubber' it usually means that they stretch it to make a few meals out of it.
For example, roast chicken on Sunday....chicken pie from the leftovers on Monday....chicken soup from the leftovers on Tuesday etc

could i make an apple pie with normal(granny smiths)apples?? as i seem to be inundated with them.0

Hi LTS,
Yes you can, just add less sugar and you may need to mash them up a bit as they don't seem to break down as well as cooking apples.

It's a club of people who save any two pound coins that they get in their change when shopping.
It's on the Debt Free Wannabe board and the current thread is here:
£2 savers club part 2
There's also a "baby sister" thread for 20p coins too that you'll find across there.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Hi all
I've never eaten Parsley Sauce before (not a fish lover) and I found a packet in the cupboard. I wondered if I made up the packet and added cheese, would it make do as a cheesey sauce layer in a lasagne or is the taste too different?
ThanksApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

I've never tried it, but I think it should be fine. Add some grated cheese and a little mustard as that helps to bring out the cheese flavour so you don't need to use so much.
