Now would that be wet soap or dry?
LLI have a vague memory that you're supposed to rub soap round the insides of the top of your hold-ups to stop them falling down, but don't know if that's right or not.
And I've got a bit of chicken left-over from Sunday which I'm certainly prepared to eat today ...We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -

Why not try dry soap to begin with. You don't want to be wearing wet pull-ups, after all ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Hi,
Apologies if I've posted this on the wrong thread.
I've finally bought the above slow cooker and i was wondering as it's only Watt whether I ought to cook on medium rather than low.
Last week my virgin meal was beef stew-it took 9 hours on low and it was a little watery. I thickened it later. It was ok-but not fabulous.
Today I'm doing a spag bol-precooked (ie-browned off mince and drained added everything) before putting on at 7.00am-need it for 1.00pm. I've put it on medium.
I think my timings are out-I either panic it won't be cooked or I'll over cook.
I have read lots on the other threads but most seem to be about the 6.5 litre which is Watt
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Does anybody know if I use a slow cooker to keep Curry Queens Chicken Korma warm will it be OK?
Thanks in advanceSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Erm... a bit dodgy this one, I think.
Firstly there's the issue of putting your cooked and presumably still warm (or even cold) leftovers into a cold pot. It takes quite a while to heat up, so for some unknown length of time you'll have your leftovers at fridge/room/cool type temperatures, which isn't so good.
Pre heating the pot i.e. turning it on for about twenty minutes can sort this one out - but don't forget to set a kitchen timer to remind yourself.
Secondly, not all Slow Cookers have a "Warm" setting and even the "Low" setting does continue to cook the meal further - even though it's slow.
So if you want to keep it warm for a couple of hours (providing you've covered the first bit) yes, that should be ok.
Otherwise, I'd suggest just keeping it in the fridge and reheating when necessary. Not forgetting the advice to make sure that the food is reheated thoroughly and the minimum temperature throughout the meal is 72° CHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. hey all
How can I tell if some of the plastic containers I use to freeze meals in are microwave safe for reheating? They don't say either safe or unsafe, so should I assume that its a no?
