Pretty sure you can, though without knowing what exactly is in your mix I can't be 100% certain. BUT, you can certainly freeze cookie doughs made with flour, sugar, butter/marge and eggs - the choc and any other additions like nuts will be fine too.

There are lots of US recipes around for slice and bake cookies where you make a roll of dough and slice cookies off and bake. You can freeze these. In fact now I come to think of it Queenie's everyday biscuits are like this. Will try and find the recipe ;)

what kind of horrible stains? lime scale or dirt? suggest use the harpic 3 in 1 BOT BLEACH which just bleaches the stains, leave on over night scrub with loo brush under the rim and all around even under the water line repeat once a week.

It's me again. The grout in our bathroom looks rather erm, lets say grubby. I was going to buy some whitener but it's 9 quid a bottle. Any old fashioned/cheaper remedies please?
    Thanks.

Only thing that works for me is a quite strong bleach/water mix & give it a scrub with a toothbrush. I must do this to the kids shower when am back to normal.

Dont scrub too hard though or you will wear away the grout. (oh and I would ventilate the room whilst doing it)
  • Hey all,

I posted a while ago about getting smoke smells out of some second hand furniture. They are now gone! Many thanks!! :j

But I wondered, its varnished pine, but still grubby. Would sugar soap be the best thing to clean it with?

As am temporarily jobless, now is a good time for me to do these things I've been putting off!!!

    Many thanks!

How do I keep 'Hold up's' from rolling down at the top?
They drive me crazy and I often worry they will roll so far down that I'll look like Nora Batty :(
An older friend told me to use soap, but sadly not how to use it!
    Any tips please.

I have a vague memory that you're supposed to rub soap round the insides of the top of your hold-ups to stop them falling down, but don't know if that's right or not.

And I've got a bit of chicken left-over from Sunday which I'm certainly prepared to eat today ...

Hi Hazzie, I think it is the Kallo organic ones but also the Marigold bouillion doesn't contain any hydrogenated fat or MSG.
