Sorry, I've just realised that the search function isn't working and I've been searching for the magic hobnob recipe (got SIL and kids coming round tonight) - desperately trying to clean up at the same time, her kids are the type to innocently get your brush out if they spot dirt on the floor
could any kind soul provide me with the link please?

I thought the text quoted says that she started using a cloth after just a couple of minutes and that the job was done in less than five.
Neat bleach all night may not be good for your floor.I forgot to do it last night and fell asleep don`t worry it`s a spare piece i`m going to put it on first to make sure that it dosen`t do anything nasty to the laminate.

Thanks sunnyday - I picked your receipe up from another thread and I've just put the dry ingredients together - unfortunately I've run out of margarine so I'll have to wait until tomorrow after the weeks shop to cooke them! :rotfl: Can't wait though!0

The recipe is for twinks hobnobs, i copied it a while ago so i found it and pasted it back onto the page from word.
Wish i could take the credit though they are gorgeous, i`ve just made some.
They do freeze really well in case you need to save some and are having trouble leaving them alone.:DPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Help! I've just taken my first batch of Twinks Hobnobs out of the oven but theyre still really soft? Will they harden on cooling or haven't I cooked them enough? (25 mins as they weren't browning) There's quite a bit of melted butter on the baking tray too.0

I know it's a lot to read - but your answer will almost certainly be somewhere in the original thread...

no idea whats happened Skint_Catt never had melted butter on the tray before, did you use too much or a type that isnt suitable for baking, remember a pack is a bit over 8oz
the time for baking would depend on your oven, have a look on the thread there are pics of how they should look, they do harden once out but are firm enough to be taken off the tray almost immediately
if they arent suitable to eat as biscuits you can crumble them into yoghurt or layer with stewed fruit
dont give up though, try again, we all have times when nothing comes out right, thats how i know about the yoghurt0
