Hmm i`m on this thread a lot lately arn`t i
Can anyone think of anything that will get rust marks off pale coloured laminate flooring?
Our tv stand had chrome legs and it looks as if when the floor has been cleaned previously some of the water must have got around them, i moved the tv to another place today and found 4 nasty rusty circles from the feet and can`t seem to shift the stains
The stand now has 4 cork coasters underneath the legs to stop this from happening again but although they are not that noticeable i would like to get them off if i can.
Thanks

Hmmm... do we have clorox bleach sticks here?In answer to the rust issue on the laminate flooring. I too had 4 round paint can stains on my bathroom floor. The cans have been in the bathroom for 6 months so you can imagine the rust on the new flooring. I came on the internet and saw your answer...I was discouraged because I did not have any nail polish remover to experiment with. I thought about my situation for a couple of minutes and then thought what about my clorox bleach stick. Well, well...I applied a little of the bleach onto the rust marks and now 5 minutes later you cannot even see where the marks were. I just simply rubbed the stains with a cloth for a couple of minutes just after applying the bleach and there you have it! Another use for clorox bleach sticks. I am really impressed and happy that I thought about that solution...however, it could have backfired on me. Have got suspicions about my washing machine. It's cold fill only so it has to heat the water up itself. The glass on the door always feels stone cold even when it's doing a hot wash for things like tea towels. Does that mean that it isn't heating the water anymore? Could someone go and feel their washing machine door for me please?
PS The machine is a Bosch so if anyone has got a Bosch machine, please please could you let me know if your door feels hot when it's on.
Thanks in advance0 -

Hmm you`ve got me thinking about plain old thick bleach now Squeaky, i`ve got some spare laminate so i will put some on tonight and see if the finish is still ok in the morning, if it is then i`ll give it a go.
If not i`ll hunt for the bleach sticks.
Thanks once again.
Nell2 - my machine is cold fill too and is going on as soon as the E7 kicks in so i`ll see if my door gets warm

I thought the text quoted says that she started using a cloth after just a couple of minutes and that the job was done in less than five.
