whats the best way to get biro out of fabric
i wore my red jersey dress today while im in school at lunch time i have to wear a tabbard, i didnt realise a biro had leaked in the pocket so ive got big smudges of black biro all over the front of my dress now:mad:
thanks in advance for any advice
Soak it in milk then wash - honest - although I did this with pen marks over cushions.
Hairspray (proper can spray type, rather than wet pump spray) also works, but I'd test it first on the fabric in case.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Little bit of help needed pleeeease!
I pounced on the recipe for tortilla wraps, thankyou very impressed. Was all set for today, chicken sorted, roasted veg, salad, cheese, creme fraiche dough made for tortillas, this is where the problem arose... I made double quantity, expecting to make 12 wraps 6", managed only to make 5 and quite obviously were a wee bit thick. The seemed to shrink as soon as I rolled them out and shrunk again when I dry fried them, otherwise they were delish even fussy son ate them! just not enough. Will not give in. Expert advice greatly welcome. My only mistake perhaps was I made the dough this am, and stored it in the fridge was this the problem???.LBM 17th April 2007:j

What sort of flour did you use? I always use bread flour. How much flour? I make the piadine recipe and 175g flour makes 4.

Glad to hear it! The tip was on here (apparently milk works for grass stains too but not tried that yet). I thought it was mad but tried it anyway (have done the hairspray one before but didn't have any).

fallen_angel_shelley wrote: »i want to make a chicken, bacon & leek pie for tea with some left over chicken. has anyone got a recipe for it? what type of pastry should i put on it?
Are the leeks and bacon cooked?
If not soften the leeks in a pan with butter or a few mins in the microwave, lightly cook the bacon, throw everything in a pie dish and cover with condensed soup i use campbells with half a tin of water the amount will depend on how big your dish is. Iether chicken or mushroom soup would be nice with this.
Put some seasoning in eg grated/ground black peppercorns and put on a pastry crust, i use shortcrust and bake in the oven.
Makes a lovely pie.

Can someone help me with my fishcakes? When I take them out of the freezer and oven bake, they just fall apart - almost as though they are too wet?
I use left over mash, tinned salmon, salt, pepper and parsley brushed with egg and rolled in breadcrumbs. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

have never made fishcakes but with nutburgers you need to mix a beaten egg in with teh mixture (one egg to every 4 burgers) to stop them crumbling.0

This I hope is just a quick question!
The butcher kindly gave me a carrier bag of frozen innards from the turkeys as most of his customers can't be bothered with them
I'm afraid I got a bit slapdash as there was so much of the stuff. I usually pull out the liver and make pate, but as there was so much I was just batch boiling to make stock. One lot I think must have had the livers in, the stock was a nasty murky green colour. Would that be the liver? Or is it rank organs?
I don't like the taste of any offalso couldn't work out if the nasty taste was bad meat, or liver
