I make my own labels using clipart and fancy, coloured fonts for the writing. I print them off and stick them to the jar using PVA glue.

Thanks Penny, could you post a link to the site you used please. I googled clip art and was overwhelmed, I didn't know where to start looking

    thanks

I use MS Publisher. Start a blank page, then from the top menu: *insert* *picture* *clipart*. I then search for a suitable picture (orange for marmalade, strawberry for jam, apple for chutney, tart for mincemeat :p ). Then size it and add a text box underneath. I make the font colour match the picture, and use a suitable font. I then copy as many of those as I need.

Shout up, or PM, if you need more help :D

Depends on which version of Word you have, but generally go to

    File/print/properties/page layout .... then select either '4 to a page' or '4 in 1'

    Shout if you get stuck....

Doing this from memory, so can't be too specific, 'cos I'm in Linux right now, but if you go File, Print, there are some options where you can scale it, and say more than 1 per page. BUT I am not sure you don't have to copy and paste the invitation onto four separate pages to do this.

Cross-posted with stilernin, that chimes with my memory, but if it doesn't work it may well be that you can't print multiples of the same page, as I've said.

Now, here's another idea - use the Help in Word and see if it does! There's a few things I ALWAYS get stuck on! :rotfl:

Now, if you have MS Publisher, you can copy your text from Word, tell Publisher you want to do a business or post card, say you want A6, then paste your text in there. Fiddle about, and job done. I think telling it you want 4 per page comes at the Print stage, not quite sure.

Hope that gives you enough help to be getting on with.

You could 'blind bake' the pizza base and then freeze, like with a flan case. I've never tried it but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I made some pizzas the other day for putting in the freezer. After the initial rising I rolled the dough out, spread on some tomato puree and stuck them in the freezer. When I want to use them I will let them thaw out and rise for a bit then stick them in the oven. I have used bought pizzas before which are already (partly?) cooked, but the base always ends up too hard so I thought this might be the best way of doing it.

Thank you folks. Phoned them. It is a different blade to the older models, and they are sending one which should arrive next week at a cost of £9.33. That will teach me to hack at it with the bread knife!

Result - could you post a pic of the kneading blade on here to assist the next person along with a similar question?

    Thanks, Penny. x
