I have just made the boys macaroni cheese for their dinner and I have made too much. Has anyone tried freezing this and if so how does it seem once it has been defrosted.
Thanks in anticipation.

I made a fish pie because the fish had to be used today and i have a 'thing' about fish going off.
Can i reheat it, because DH is feeling a bit green and doesn't fancy fish? Does anyone freeze cooked fish pie?"On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -

I find pasta tends to go a bit soggy and slimy when frozen, it would keep in the fridge though and maybe turn it into a pasta bake type thing with some mince or chicken HTH:snow_laugChristmas is just around the corner

Good afternoon all,
I was just looking through my fridge, as it's batch cook day today, and I found a joar of ginger in sunflower oil. I use this in my curry but I was just wondering, could I use this when making ginger biscuits as I don't have any ground ginger in?
Thanks in advance

Ground ginger is made from the dried root, and presumable it is slices of root that you have so I think that as long as you can chop it up really finely it should work. (Biscuits with little chunks of ginger in are using crystalized or preserved in syrup ginger stem, which is softer, so don't imitate that).
Anyway, it's got to be worth trying once - let us know how the biscuits turn out!0 -

Chop apples and add to pot with sugar and a splash of water. heat gently until the apples soften. Then leave it chunky or cook it until it's mushy depending how you like it.0
