Hello everyone
How is everyone? I have not had much os time. My lovely Grandaddy passed away the week before last and I took it really hard, much harder than I thought. We had the funeral yesterday and I feel I have a little bit of sparkle back. My Grandma maintained her dignity throughout (they had a 72 year relationship) and yet I was the only one in the church bawling my eyes out (quietly!). It was a beautiful service and I am so proud of him and all the things he did, I will have some fantastic stories for ds when he is older.
Phew!!!
DD was ill (sick) on monday and it seemed spontaneously last night we all went down with it too. Feeling horrible and have been sleeping all morning but feel a bit better now just very achey. Even OH took the day off work and in our 9 years together I think he has only done it 3 times. he is having his shift sleeping in the bed now. DS and I are currently sharing his duvet and pootering and watching cbeebies. He won't be happy when I make him watch Deal or No deal at 4.15
There has been very little OS but plenty of moneysaving. I haven't set foot near a supermarket since last friday and our cupboards are so bare. I think I can rustle up beans on toast for dinner for anyone who feels like it but that is about it.
Hello to all the new members and I hope you all manage to stay as warm and cosy as possible0 -
Hi again,
Have got home from work and put feet up for an hour. Feel a million dollars. 3 hours cleaning earnt me £25.50 which is great - my first wages for years! The lady that I cleaned for OH has asked me to do 3 hours a week at his dental practice cleaning after hours so I have said yes. this will give me £51 a week - yay!!!!
The thing is that not only did I earn money but I switched off the heating and everything in my house and saved a bit there! All good.
What to have for tea is the next challenge - I have a quorn roast in the freezer and the veg box arrived today so that will probably be what we will have - not too much standing cooking!!!! I ache in places I did not even know I had places!!!!
Penny Pincher - glad to hear that you have gained a bit of weight and are enjoying your hospital free day.
Valentine - that 14 weeks seemed to go by very quickly - did you have your scan?
All that have snow take care especially if it freezes overnight - no snow here in the South West.
Love and hugs to all

Got loads of work done :T
Had the dreaded Blue Screen Of Death on my comp, there were problems for about a week but each time I fixed them, more cropped up til the BSOD 2 days ago  Reinstalled winxp, luckily the drive is partitioned and I had all my biz stuff on D so it wasn't affected. I was worried for a while, thought the tax man would hunt me down cos I had no info for the 06-07 tax return:rolleyes:
Oh oh oh ANNNNDDD........my Kenwood slicer was delivered yesterday :j I had nothing to slice - well you have to play with it, don't you - so hubby found a tin of corned beef and we took it in turns slicing LOL.Bulletproof0 -

Hello again all.
Lovely treatment in class today, used some lovely anitD oils, and feel much better for it. I fell asleep - but then that seems to happen every time I lie down!!!
Valentine - thanks for the suggestion hun. I did consider that - but my DMP is going to be so tight I'll probably have to ebay everything that isn't nailed to the floor in order to give them pressies at birthdays and christmas lol.
I only wish I'd given up work sooner and then I wouldn't have got in so much debt. Hindsight eh!
Going to have to spend the day in Cardiff again tomorrow as the garage want to keep the car in all day to do the work. I'm not sure what would be the cheapest option - staying in Cardiff which will mean a bit of cash spent, or catching the bus home and then back in again later. Either way I'm not going to get much homework or housework done, lol. I might try to work on a price book tonight so that I can compare the prices of the fruit etc in the market as I was sure it was much cheaper there than it is around here.
Still no snow here, but the clouds are looking promising.
Right, I suppose I'd best crack on,

Evening Guys!!
Guess what.......................Ive finished my 3 essays:beer: :j :T :j  :T......Im so happy;)
Stew smells lovely and dumplings have been added. DW nearly fully loaded again. DD is doing her HW and will be having a shower soon and into her PJ's. Hopefully friend wont stay too long as OH has to go out to another friends to sort their computer out and we all could do with an early night. Its turned very cold again, so wondering if we are in for more snow
OH & I had an argument earlier, but all sorted now:o I feel so sorry for him having to put up with me all the time-its not normal for a 32yr old to be doing this kind of caring and I hate the thought that I could be holding him back. He wants to do his Architecture degree but wont ATM as Ive been ill, we have compromised and he is starting another course with the OU next month and is a good 60pointer, so could add towards a degree if he chooses to do so. Greenwich University have a place there for him for the next 2-3 years and he has already been selected. Its only 1 day a week for 4 years then we can move abroad somewhere:D Ive already said that if Im that ill, I will ask for more help so the burden is off him and have also looked into some charities that may sit with me if Im unwell and he goes to uni....ohh...I dont know!
Had an invite through yesterday for an Engagement party in March-so thats more cost! I know what Im going to get them though and will be about £10 and handmade from a lady off Ebay who does lovely folk art plaques and couldnt recomend her enough. Already have a card so thats OK. Its at Meopham, which is supposed to be quite nice.
Have hospital in the morning at 10am, but may go with OH to drop DD off and stop for a bacon roll somewhere, so we can have a change of scenery and a natter. I hate arguing with him and love being with him, but just feel such a burden sometimes:o
Gingin-Sorry to hear about your grandaddy. I have missed your regular posts and wondered if all was ok. Hugs and just to let you know that Im thinking of you. All those wonderful years your grandparents had together-there must be some fabulous memories there. Chin up hun!
Anyway, Id best go as I need to have a cuppa and biccie.
Hugs to all.
