aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand.......NSD #9 and #10!!! to announce!!
(I stole this piccie from someone else's post, I NEED to learn how to do pictures cuz I love looking at all of urs on here guys, especially Friday wiggle)
Which means for the first time since joining this thread I have made my target for this month!! I would like to increase to..umm..11 because we've not got long left and I know I have to spend on hall hire tomorrow
Keiss I love the idea of the cupcake socks!! How cute! I hope you sell lots!!
Rising I only have the same suggestions as the others have said, I hope this helps. Maybe you could look into other types of animal rescue like hedgehogs? as they often get taken to really local shelters, often people do it in their own homes too. There are alot of rescued Hedgehogs at this time of year too so you would really be helping outBest of luck.
Cheryl Lovely to hear ur news about ur new man, sounds very promising, keep us posted

Evening everyone....I have done it - shops are closed so.... NSD # 12 and TARGET HIT :j Ok, I feel like I cheated a bit this month as I lowered my target, but my bank balance is looking ok, few things to pay off on the cc but will get that in order, and I think the back is broken as far as xmas shopping is concerned so all good. AND I 'only' spent £31 on the grocery shop yesterday when previously that first one after payday would have been about £80  (big thanks to all on the coupon and Mr T grabbit thread for that)
BDINI - I don't want to put you off a potential tennant but I'd be careful if #1 isn't likely to pass the credit check, nor her guarantor. The credit checks are there for a reason and although it might work out fine, I'd hate you too get your fingers burned again. As far as #3 goes, benefit of the doubt on the family emergency but the cynical side of me thinks that was convenient timing - sure it wasn't a hangover after a heavy night out? And if someone really wants to look at somewhere to live, I would personally have thought they would have called earlier even if there was an emergency. If she's unreliable for the viewing, doesn't bode well for a tenancy. Sorry, I sound like a voice of doom and gloom don't I?
Well me listed a couple of items on fleabay (had to pay as i wanted to put these on as buy it now's) beef and beer casserole was yummy with roast spuds (done in free duck fat - about £3 saved...Freecycle I love you) and me considering a wee glass of mulled wine - well it IS nearly xmas :rotfl:

:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm popping up to my pals on my 1/2 day on Weds and there's a Mr T's just up the road from her .... think I may have to get a couple more (I do like the idea of them being wee stocking fillers!)
Well, have finally given in & splashed out on a new phone ... it's been a very expensive month - why does everything happen at once!:(
Thanks for all the (((hugs))) everyone and for being so understanding and supportive. I will def look into some voluntary work - unfortunately one of the downsides of being very rural is that it's so bloomin' far to get anywhere & would need something close by as I'd hate to let anyone down if I couldn't get there if the roads were terrible. Suzitiger, thanks ... hadn't thought of hedgehogs or other animals so will do some investigating on that front too.:)
BDINI I'm afraid I would second what Kerri has said - if the tenant didn't pass the credit check that would be one thing ... but the guarantor too .... I'd be a bit concerned.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Thanks guys - kerri i think you're right about number 3, although her viewing was for 4pm, so that would have been some hangover!! I rang her too, 15 mins after she was due to arrive & she didn't pick up, that set me on edge, as if something had happened & i'd forgotten i would have at least answered the phone to apologise!
I may have given a bit of a negative impression about number 1 though, the reason she will fail is because she is on benefits & according to the people who will be doing the credit checks all benefit applicants fail. The problem with her guarantor according to her is that he is also not working, although he has loads of money in the bank, so will also automatically fail (neither of them actually through bad credit, just through not being in employment). One of the things that she is investigating is whether said loaded guarantor will lend her 6 months up front, so she can pay me this in one go & then she can pay him back out of her HB. This would make me feel fairly secure about her intentions, but if she can't do this i will tread very carefully, i can't have another nightmare this soon!!
Surely someone who hands over 6 months rent in one go can't be all bad??????February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Rising good luck in whatever you decide to do, I'm sorry I have no suggestions to help you over this, I can't remember what I did for months after I lost my beloved Max. Just existed. I'd glad you have so many good people on here to help you.
BDINI I hope you get a decent tenant this time, good luck with No. 1, it sounds as though you liked her.
Big hugs to everyone who feels ill, hope you are all better soon.
Just reporting NSD No. 9. Good luck everyone for the last few days of November.
