    Evening!
Have got our shopping, £58.55 in Aldi and £12.23 in Asda so total £70.78. Oops! Slightly over budget there! Nevermind, did get a lot for my money this week :)

Have updated our budgets and due to not realising some bills had gone out that I didn't take into account, I actually had £17.77 leftover from my weekly budgets so have shifted this to the savings pot. Hurrah! :D Now have £174.78 towards the extra I need :) Only £100ish to save now and I'll break even. Looking like I'll definitely be able to get some savings behind me again by the end of July. Fingers crossed!

    Morning all! Happy saturday!

Yesterday was very productive. My car tax came and is only £66, not the £75 I'd budgetted for which means less to save. Huzzah! Will get that ordered on payday.
I also went into the bank to sort out my ISA. My old was was so old it was dormant, and only worth 0.10%pa which is pathetic. They sent me a new declaration to do but instead the branch opened me a brand new one at 3.05%pa with no withdrawal penalties which is much better. Going to move over my savings into that rather than e-savings pots which earn !!!!!! all interest. Now just need to close some other dormant savings accounts and I'll be all set. :)
While I was out and about sorting bank accs etc yesterday I did nip into a charity shop for a mooch and ended up buying a new daywear dress for £4.99 and an old b*witched cd for the girls for £1.99. Couldn't resist but I'll make up for it next week!
DP and I managed to blag tickets to a posh do out last night which was brilliant and so much fun. Didn't get in til 1 so feeling a bit sleepy this morning! Currently sat in a leisure centre while the girls have their dance classes trying to keep my eyes open! Lol!
Will update my spending diary when I get in. Have paid our usual £8 for dance today.

Got loads of housework with my name on it today. The joy of saturdays! Hoping to go out later and take some photos of the localised flooding around.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Have had a very productive money nerd day :D
Called up Sky as I had an email off them to say they were upping their prices £1.50 from Sept. Have cancelled the cinemagic as the girls' aren't bothering with it anymore so will save £5pm on that. When I said I was considering cancelling because of the cost they also gave me 25% off the tv for 6 months without signing up to a new contract. They also said to call back in December and they will look at doing another deal for me :T
So for the next 6 months my bill will be £11 cheaper. T

Also called AA as I've had my renewal through with an increase from my current £7.99 to £12 odd so I called them and they agreed to drop it back down to the £7, but also gave me 15% off breakdown repair cover which is an insurance policy which covers up to £500 of mechanical repairs (for £7pm :)). So for only £2 extra compared to what they originally wanted I've got roadside, homestart and breakdown repair cover. Bargain :)

Just a shame my insurances aren't due for renewal. I'm on a roll :rotfl:

Thankyou. It's great to be back and it's even better that some familiar 'faces' are still around. Good to see ZTD still kicking about.

    Afternoon all.
I would say happy monday, but I've ended up coming home from work ill as feel decidedly dodgy today. Typical! Writing this from my sofa watching god awful daytime tv and trying to not puke! Lovely.

Treated the girls to a maccys for dinner yesterday as they'd been golden all day despite me dragging them around doing photos for 3 hours. That was £9.37. Also today I've had to pay £2 for school snack money.

Going to do my new week budgets in a bit. Supposed to be on a course tomorrow in B'ham but will see how I feel.

Hope everyone's having a more productive Monday than I am!

Have done my budgets for the week.

    Food £60.00
Petrol £0.00 (Still have some left from last week)
    Social £10.00
    Bills £212.27
Train fare £10.00 (for course tomorrow)
    Dance £15.00

    Total out
    £307.27
    Total in
    £386.63

    Surplus to savings £79.36

That'd take my savings to £254.84. If my estimates are right I should be able to save another £150-£160 this month so all being well I should be able to have £100 left in savings at the end of July after paying my car tax and holiday club fees.

In august I won't have any nursery/holiday club fees to pay so should have £500 or so totally spare just from my monthly bills which I intend to use to pay some off one of the cards, probably capital one which is £850 and only 0% til October. Anything spare from the weekly budgets will be used to bump up some savings/pay for school uniform.

Or I suppose seeing as it is 0% til October, I could chuck it all into savings and maybe end up with 1k or so in savings in August and pay off the Capital one in Sept...

    Decisions decisions.
