Evening all! Happy monday!
Have had a busy weekend being out and about seeing family and friends.
Have done my budget for this week. BEfore I started I've moved my existing savings into a Cash ISA I had linked to my main bank account instead of it being in a nationwide account for no interest for sheer convinience. My Cash ISA is about 3% so better something than nothing! I've kept meaning to sort out my savings accounts, I've got about 5 of them in various places so need to get the ones I don't use/aren't worth anything shut down. It's just getting round to it!
Anyway, what was left from last week's budgets I've moved into the ISA with the other account savings, so now have £90 in there.
This is this week's budget.
Food £60.00
Petrol £45.00
Social £10.00
French club £10.00
Dance £15.00
Totals out £140.00
Total £196.03
Surplus to savings £56.03
That would give a total for non mortgage deposit savings of £146.03.
It's payday on friday and I'm starting to get my monthly bills together so I can sort out my monthly budgets. I've had my nursery fees and sky bill, but still waiting for the holiday club fees and my mobile bill. It's not looking like I'll have any money surplus from my monthly budgets, but I have added the overpayment for my loan as well as increasing my deposit saving standing order a little bit.
Will also be paying off the last of my very BNPL this week and asking them to close the account. They've recently upped my credit limit to £1500 which is frankly ridiculous! Considering it's 34% if you pay interest I can't even imagine how much money they must be making from those catalogues! Shocking.
Hope everyone has had a good monday anyway!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Evening all! So much to update! Didn't get chance yesterday so you've got it in bulk today :rotfl:
Did our food shopping yesterday. Spent £43 in Aldi and £22 in Asda. Petrol was £45.78 this week.
Today was payday (hurrah) so I've paid off my very account and emailed them to close it. Have paid my nursery fees as well. No money left over from the monthly budgets but I now have £141.70 in the non mortgage deposit savings. Another £60 is due to go into the mortgage deposit account along with my extra payment to my loan which feels good
Got my invoice for the summer holiday club. Work have agreed for me to work from home 2 days a week in the summer holidays so that's helped a bit with the bill shock! They've sent me July and August in one go when I was just expecting July's this month, so that was a bit of a heart in mouth moment! They've said I can paid it in two lots one July this month and August next which helps! £221 this month and the rest next so it gives me time to save up as will also have the September before/after school club fees next month which will be about £350-£400. Ouch...
Can't believe another week is done already. Where does the time go?
Hope everyone's had a good week! Have a lovely weekend everyoneTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Evening all! Late in updating this week as have been very busy. Was on a work course in B'ham yesterday and have got my expenses back so have £18.50 to add to the savings. Monday night we rented some movies out after a rough day and today I bought a book to keep notes in and some CDRs so I can do a bit more photography stuff. DP has set me up a website so I can have an online portfolio and am looking at organising some bank promo stuff to put on there hence the notebook so I can organise everything! Not doing it as work work at the minute or charging as I'm not looking at setting up a business right now, I'm just doing it for my own benefit.
Have updated my sig with my updated debt/savings figures. Here's my budgets for the week
Food £60.00
Petrol £10.00 (Top up as still have half a tank from last week
Social £10.00
Bills £408.92
Dance £15.00 (£5 spent already)
Total out £498.92
Total in £653.59
Surplus to savings £154.67
Have updated my monthly budgets so I've got an idea of what I need to save and based on current estimates and taking my car tax (due in July) into account I'll need to save £252 to have enough money to cover all my bills and extra childcare/tax which is pretty good really and shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully I'll have made some savings back up by the end of the month on that basis
I've also had my AA renewal come through ang it's gone up from £7.99pm to £11 odd. Need to give them a call and see if they'll reduce it or will need to look elsewhere and see if I can get it cheaper. Annoying really as I a due £45 cashback from the AA through quidco but they've never paid out despite quidco investigating it and confirming they should! Grrrr.
Ah well. C'est la vieTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Evening all! What a week! Has gone really quickly but today especially has been really busy.
Have updated my budgets. Ended up going over on my food shopping as Ash needed new school shoes.. again... This time is was because she's seemingly had a growth spurt and her ones that she only had about a month or so again are now too small! Madness! There's only 3 weeks of school left! Typical...
Anyway. Have moved over £156.71 into the savings which includes £18.50 work expenses.Only just shy of £100 left to save and I'll be about breaking even for next month's bills/childcare. Hurrah!
As of 1st July I'm going to religiously start my spending diary again. It's annoying how easily it slips behind if you miss a few days. Going to be good as gold from now on! It'll help me keep my spending under check too....
Hope everyone has a fab weekend!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Quickie spending diary update. Today I have been a good girl and only spent the £4 on my dance.
don't have any plans to spend anything tomorrow either, as have the afternoon off for the girls' sports day. It's been chucking it down all week though so will be surprised if it goes ahead! The joy of british summer...

Afternoon all! Quick spending diary update before we head out to do our food shopping.
Spent £46.28 on a full tank of petrol yesterday. Have a budget of £60 for our food shopping today. I have my listed all prepared.
I was VERY good today and resisted the urge to have maccys which my colleagues were having for lunch. It took all my willpower but I did it :rotfl:
Could've murdered a big mac though...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
