Evening all. Phew what a week. My dad has had his operation and is now home and recovering. The relief is unbelievable!

I have no idea what day it is as because of being in/out of hospital and work I'm totally lost :rotfl:
I've been good and kept my spending diary though so here's the updates.

lunch at the hospital yesterday 4.00
donuts and hair bobbles (random I know) 4.50
    hospital parking 1.00

Hoping to get back to normal now. This week has been crazy...

I read that as 'donuts and hair boobies' I need coffee!

Sorry to read about your father but am pleased to hear that he is out of hospital and on the way back to health. Thinking of you.

Afternoon all. Have had a manic day at work catching up on everything but managed to get a lot done so had a good day in all.

I did buy lunch today which was £1.50, and the girls are going to a school disco tonight which is £2 each entry plus a bit of spending money. K also took £2 spending money for a school trip today.

Have had all my monthly bills in now including the nursery fees for Sept which I have to pay in advance. The shortfall that I needed to make up is £200.31 and a lot better than I estimated :). That means that this week anything that I save over £25 is totally spare and actually savings now. Hurrah!

Can't o my food shopping tonight as need to wait for my tax credits to go in tomorrow. Will update and work out my exact savings once I've done my shopping.

Hope everyone's having a good week.

Hello! Have done our food shop today so have been able to update my budgets and spending diary.

    dinner in Asda £10.30
food shop £74.02 (£55.45 in Aldi and £18.57 in Asda
    dvd for the girls £7.00

Based on this I should have £57.46 spare to save, plus £8.50 cheque which I've had for expenses and has yet to clear. This will give me £241.44 saved compared to £200.31 which I need for my bills. Hurrah!

Not going to move the money over until I get paid Tuesday as I'll then be having to pay for my car tax and before/after school club fees anyway.

Looking forward to having some actual savings behind me and not having to have to spend a fortune on child care fees for a change! :)

Short rant... I ended up being £10 down this weekend after I left the money I'd gotten from cashback at one of those self checkouts in the damn machine! !!!!!!! Serves me right for being distracted!

Haven't spent anything this weekend other than dance so have been a good girl this weekend. I'm looking forward to payday and getting my bills etc paid. Roll on Tuesday!

The girls have both broken up from school now. For the next 4 weeks they're in holiday club 2 days a week and I'm homeworking for the other two which I'm hoping won't be too stressful! Got the last 2 weeks in august off so looking forward to a break with DP and the girls. :)

Hope everyone's had a good weekend!

    Evening all!

It's the day after payday, so my extra payment to the mortgage deposit account and extra loan payment have gone out. Also my expenses cheque has cleared so I paid that money into the ISA. Have £90.57 in there now. :)
My dad was kind enough to give me another £100 towards the mortgage deposit today, so have sent over that money to the account and have £581 in there now. It's not much but it's growing slowly and it all helps :)
Spending diary update for today, 90p on a work collection (was actually yesterday and was all the change I had!) plus £3 on lunch today as I really didn't fancy the soup I'd taken in considering it was so muggy in the office. Going to start taking sandwiches instead I think now it's hotter!

In other good news, I've had £42 confirmed to be paid from Quidco this month which is a nice bonus :) Will be moving the money straight to the mortgage deposit account save me spending it on crap...

Hope everyone is having a good week. For the summer holidays I'm working from home on Thursdays and Fridays to help with childcare and it starts tomorrow. Should be interesting! Have lots to do so will be very busy. We do plan on a trip to the library at lunch though presuming it's open and not chucking it down....
