Sounding good
Quick q if I may?
DRO~if someone gets a back payment of benefit ie ESA or DLA ~ would it effect it?Just when you get a mo.Ta.
They would treat it as income so you'd divide the backpayment by 12 to get the monthly equivalent and if that took them over the £50 surplus income criteria it'd be revoked. At least I know that's the case for esa currently, I remember having a dla backpayment years ago that they ignored because dla is a disregarded benefit but the problem is they keep moving the goalposts....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Dear GOD. Things have been so busy my feet have hardly touched the ground over the past few weeks.
I've been pouring my effort into setting up my photography business. So far I have spent £430 on setting it up, which mainly includes equipment. I'm still looking into advertising and have set up one advert in a local magazine at £45pm, and have got a few websites etc which I'm looking into. So far I've had one paid booking which got me £100, so I'm £330 down so far but it's one of those things that once I've finished with the initial outlay, the running costs won't be that high. It's just a pain to get set up, hence a lot of radio silence over the past few weeks!
Me and DP are also on annual leave so are spending some time with the girls and taking them on days out so hence I haven't been able to save any money, but with the investment going into my business and taking the girls out I'm at least not getting into debt at the minute (although I have been using my credit card and paying it off).
I'm absolutely knackered, but hopefully all the effort will pay off. It's just taking a lot of effort to get there!!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

What a fab couple of weeks. Had a great time with DP and the girls. We did all sorts, went to the safari park, drayton manor, cinema, parks... we had a great time. Sad to see it end but am also happy to be back at work after a productive day today. I miss DP already as we literally saw each other every day over the past 2 weeks and now that'll go back to normal and we normally only see each other maybe 3-4 times a week!
Have done my budgets this week but not able to save anything just yet as they've changed the girls' dance to payment monthly instead of weekly and also have a bit of money to make up from the bills account from the past two weeks as we spent quite a lot of money! Onyl £16 down though so it's not too bad.
Also restarting my spending diary seeing as it got so chaotic with setting up my photography business last month that I lost track.
Spends so far this month,
Dance: £8
Indian for dinner £12
Book set for Ash £16 (A massive set of Roald Dahl books which she's obsessed with!)
Hope everyone is well! Hopefully now we're getting back into a normal routine I should get back into updating properly! I've been a very bad IA :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Time for an update!
My capital one card was coming to the end of it's 0% period so I called up Barclaycard as I'd had a letter through offering balance transfer deals. They upped my limit to £3200 to allow me to balance transfer the capital one card and have 12 months 0% for a 3.9% fee. Hurrah!
Still putting time and effort into my photography business. I've got a couple of wedding fayres coming up and have a booking coming up for a modelling shoot. Just need to get the bookings in now! These things take time though but hopefully it will start making money rather than costing me money eventually!
Hope everyone is well. Haven't been able to save anything still as putting what I can into the business, hence my being quieter than normal! Am still paying extra payments off my loan though which is now under 3kMight actually set up regular card overpayments instead of relying on as and when paying.. will have a look at my budgets and see what's what.
