  • Evening all!
My standing orders went out today so though it was a good time for an update :)
The cards are now Barclaycard £2877.22 and Halifax £367. My car payment is due to go out tomorrow or Monday too so I will be able to update the car loan total once that registers on my online banking.
This week has been very busy! Last saturday I ended up making a mad dash to Birmingham for camera parts ready for a photoshoot on the sunday so ended up £80 down but at least I can count that as business expenses. Still annoying but at least it's parts I'll use again. Also had a couple of wedding bookings this week so have had deposits for those.

Have managed to put money into savings so it's now standing at £602.48. :) It would've been more but I did have a bit of a charity shop splurge today as a treat and also paid for my car tax at £66. But it's all good and creeping up while the debt's going down so I'm happy :)

Hope everyone has had a good week!

  • Oh no! Get well soon.
The halifax was the 0% card til something stupid like December next year. They're about to up my limit to 1k apparently. I've just looked on the online banking for it but can't see that they're doing any balance transfer deals though..

I know I should be paying anything bar the minimum £5pm off the barclaycard, but in fairness I like seeing them both coming down and I feel like it gives me motivation to know that one is so small.. if that makes sense..

  • Have done my budgets for the week. I need to get K's birthday presents this week so have budgetted £30.

Here's this week's budgets seeing as I've not posted them in a while.

    Food £60.00
    Petrol £25.00
    Bills £34.09
    School dinners £21.00
    K presents £30.00
    School trip £10.00
    Barclaycard £50.00
    Halifax £10.00

    Total out £240.09
    Total in £244.84

    Surplus £4.75

Haven't decided what to get K yet, but have to get something from my dad as well as he's out of the country for her birthday (£20 of that £30 budget is from him).

I'm enjoying seeing the debt balances go down as well as the savings going back up. Feels much better having that buffer there just in case. It's hard not to dream about what that money could be spent on, but so far I've been good to think logically ;)
