  • Not happy! I just posted but it didn't put it up and it's now disappeared. DAMN IT! mad:

Anyway, was updating my spending diary as today we went out and picked my new glasses. Specsavers had a sale on where if you bought frames you could get free baic lenses and an extra such as thinning. I ended up going for a lense upgrade with better thinning as mine are like milk bottle bottoms if I don't get them thinned as much as they'll go (very very long sighted!). The upgrade was only £20 though so in all including the frames it was £105 all in which is a lot cheaper than I thought it'd be so I've bought them today using the holiday savings which I'll pay back on payday We also went out to lunch and mooched in the peacocks sale again. A skirt and a top for £7, bargain!

So, here's the spending diary update.

    girls' clothes £7
    lunch £13.76
    glasses £105

So in all £126.75, which I've added to my monthly 'holiday fund' budget to make it up. I've looked at my budgets and even with that I should still have roughly £100 or so leftover to pay off the card (based on an average of my nursery fees so not 100% yet..).

Either way it's looking good for having the card paid off by the end of the month. :D hurrah!

Hope everyone is having a good monday-eve.... you're all very quiet at the minute! People are going to start gossiping if I keep talking to myself..

  • Well done on your glasses coming under budget, I know how expensive they can be (both my parents wear varifocals and they can cost a fortune) I want this month to hurry up already I want to be paid :P

The Home Buyers Survey was done on Thursday and the girl sent me a message to say it all went okay, just waiting for the Bank to say its arrived and see if we need our copy to come in the post before we give the go ahead to proceed. I'm so impatient, hate this.

We had a lovely visit from my brother's best friend and his 17 week old baby, he's so gorgeous. He was laughing and giggling away the whole time and my brother spent ages giving him a bottle. So that was definitely an awesome way to spend our Sunday afternoon.

  • Afternoon!

Had a good day at work today. Productive and generally stress free :) I also got a work expenses cheque for £9.70 so have put that in the bank and paid it off the card. Sig updated :D Woop!

Going to work out my budgets in a few too so will post again in a bit.

Tonight I'm going to have a look at gumtree. I have a violin which is just gathering dust so might as well flog it. I was intending to learn to play but I just haven't got time so it might as well go into the credit card kitty! Also fancy having a mooch in the loft if I can get up there, although I might be too short and I haven't got a ladder :rotfl: Might have to get DP in to help, seeing as he's 6ft 2 ;)
