k, so that plan to not spend anything has gone out of the window slightly, I had to get milk so spent £1.50 on bread and milk (it was an offer and milk on it's own would've been just as expensive! Bread has gone in the freezer
) I got out the money for dance and used that to buy the milk and had 3 £1 coins to add to the pot
Will also have another later when I get the change from dance. It's annoying not being able to get £5s out of the cashpoint though! At least I got some £1 coins out of it...

Can you not get eye test vouchers through work? If you work with computers most of your time they have to pay for eye tests...0

Quickie update... train fare was £8.50, and after exchanging some change with my colleague, I've got another £2 to add into the £1 savings pot. Should have another £1 change from dance tonight too, taking it up to £10 and back to where I was at before the weekend. Hurrah!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

It's the 31st January, and that means I have been keeping my spending diary for an entire month so it's review time!
This month's totals:
Jan spent on food 198.91
Jan spent on petrol 95
Jan spent on 'other' 188.38
Jan spent on dance 42.75
Spent a lot less on food and petrol that I would have thought. I'm shocked at how much gets spent on everything else though. 'Other' is pretty much every other spending other than on bills, dance, petrol and food. I would've done a catagory for clothing but this doesn't tend to be every month. This month it would've been about £20-£30 though (did totals and cleared the diary before checking. bum.)

Well done on keeping the food and petrol so low
I've updated my signature to show my overdraft, I have £25 or so cash and I'm going to see if I can make that last the month (doesn't help that I forgot my lunch today so I'll have to buy but I'll try and get it cheap at work) the only other thing I have to pay for is my mobile phone bill which will be £36.11 coming out on the 12th. Hoping that halifax organise the valuation today although today is my mortgage adviser's day off so I may not hear until tomorrow, she's so lovely though
Friends and family members keep giving me things, I think my boyfriend is taking the hump a little bit because he doesn't have people doing that for him but it's not like I'm asking for them and I can't really refuse as its all money saved for us. I should really make a list of things we have already.HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

He should grow up a little and count his blessings. It's a little sad that he'd rather you had nothing because he has, rather than celebrate you having something.

Anyway, morning all! Yesterday was a NSD :T Today is food shopping and petrol day, and I've updated my budgets this morning. If I spend the full £60 on food I'll be able to pay £22 off the credit card so I'm going to try and spend less if I can so I can pay more off.
Tomorrow I'm off on another course, so will have another £1 to put in the £1 pot. Will also be taking my own lunch so I don't have to spend anything too
Yesterday I applied for the halifax 22 month 0% BT card and was accepted, with an estimated credit limit of £500 :rotfl:. Going to ask them when I get it to increase the limit so I can BT the big card and save some interest while I'm paying it off. If they don't increase it I'm going to cancel it as there's no point having it otherwise! Still nice to know that I can be accepted for decent credit now though!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Will wait and see what limit they give me when I get it and go from there.
Have had an unexpected short day at work today. My youngest was sent home poorly so we're now slobbing on the sofa under a duvet watching kung fu panda 2. Poor mite has a fever an a headache, school reckons the kids are dropping like flies from bugs at the minute!
