The problem with a mild winter is it just doesn't kill all the germs going around. Hope the little mite is better soon.
Had confirmation that the valuation will be next Thursday and the vendor emailed me to say she told the EA this and that she has appointed a solicitor. Best thing I did us swapping email address and mobile numbers like my manager suggested, means we both know entirely what is going on all the time
Tonight I'm going to try and start to have a clear out, had good news that my replacement motherboard has been authorised so when I get that and they return my power supply I'll be a happy little gamer again (Xbox just isn't the same).HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

Wow what a manic couple of days. The joys of having children eh? Littleun didn't go to school today and she didn't feel great when she woke up, and DP was an absolute darling as he booked a day off work to look after her as otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go on a prebooked work course! Of course she very quickly started feeling better, and by lunchtime was nearly her normal self. She's still got a fever and isn't quite 100% (She had a nap yesterday AND today in the day, which is totally unlike her) but she definitely seems better.
It's totally knocked our routine out of whack though. Normally I do my food shopping on Thursdays and would've been all set with updated budgets by now! However we've 'caught' up tonight and done it before the snow comes tomorrow!
My course today was really interesting (and much better knowing that K was being looked after and I wasn't going to get a call from school sending her home again when I was a good hour and a half away...). Because of the lack of food shopping I didn't have anything I could take for my lunch this morning so had to buy lunch out. Booo! We also had chippy chips for dinner tonight because I got back late and we had barely anything in to cook! Last night's dinner was a totally bodge job of 'whatever the hell I could find in the freezer that was edible' as it was...
Anyway, in better news I've also had another £3 to add to the £1 pot, so I now have £13 WOOP! Sig updated!
Have updated my budgets and spending diary too.
Spends today
£8.50 on train fare
50p donation to a freezing homeless woman
£3.25 lunch (Damn birmingham prices...)
£5.80 chippy chips (Damn village prices.. lol)
£25 petrol
£39.64 in ALDI
£27.77 in ASDA for what I couldn't get in ASDA (including washing liquid/fabric conditioner which bumped it up £6 in one go that! and beer for DP as a thank you.
So food budget was £7.37 over budget this week. Booooo. Needs must though. As I say, £6 of that was on washing machine liquid/conditioner alone, annoyingly. I have tried the cheaper ALDI brand stuff before but found it leaves the clothes not looking properly clean, so I've gone back to branded 'whatevers on offer in ASDA' which this week was £3.97 on a bigish bottle of surf, and £2 on a big bottle of comfort. Not too bad really. Could be a lot worse but at least I know the clothes will be clean!
Anyway, this week I've paid £24.64 off the credit card. I 'officially' have £14.64 left, £10 of which was a budget for dance tomorrow, but with the girls being poorly (Eldest has had a bit of a dodgy tummy too, so pretty sure she's got some form of underlying bug..) I don't really think it's a good idea for them to go tomorrow. If only so they don't infect everyone else! Because of that I've just paid the full £24.64 off the credit card and have updated my sig.
Weirdly I'm ALREADY thinking about next week's budgets and how much I can pay off. Presumably because I wasn't able to pay off as much as I wanted this week. Damn council tax. This week I haven't got any training courses, but I DO have an eye test on Friday which is going to cost probably around £30 I'm expecting. I also have an extra dance practice on Friday night to see if we're going to set up a street team or not, which is an extra £5 I think. It's also half term the following week so I won't have school dinners to pay for. Hurrah!
But at an estimate here's a possible budget for next week...
Food £60.00
Petrol £25.00
Social £10.00
School dinners £0.00
Eye test £30.00
Dance £20.00
Bills £402.09
total out
£527.09
total in
£629.43
surplus to CC £102.34
That'd more than make up for itWill see how the week pans out..
Oh also got my 'pre contract info' for that halifax card today. Going to send it back and see what credit limit they give me before probably laughing at them and telling them to bog off. :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Typical. Girls woke up perfectly well this morning and wanting to go to dance :rotfl: So needless to say next week I'll be making up the tenner taken out today for that. lol.
The tenner was spent like this:
£7.50 dance (This will be going up to £8 from next week as K will be moving up to the next age group)
50p donation by Ash to a homeless lady (after a long discussion about how some people have no money/homes etc, and emphasising a charitable nature!)
£1 on gloves seeing as we only have one matching pair for the girls and it's supposed to be snowing later! I sacrificed adding another £1 to the pot for them! Pesky kids.
£1 which will be going towards school dinners. Not sure as K was off Friday whether the money paid for that days dinner would end up being a credit. Hope so, as then would be due £2.10 back!
Have sent off the credit agreement to halifax today. I wait with baited breath :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Great news they were well enough to want to go dancing
I'm happy, my new motherboard arrived yesterday so I have my computer working again and I didn't spend any money to fix it as the company paid for shipping both ways :j
Hopefully bought my last months bus/metro pass, I'm aiming that this time next month we'll know exactly when we're moving, possibly a little too soon to say that but who knows
Did buy myself a beautiful mac from M&S for £39.50 although I had a £20 gift card which made it a much better price.

Happy snowy sunday all! Has everyone had snow where they are? We've had a good 1-2 inches here but it's melting quickly now. We've had a great time with the kids though and we've loved having the snow! Absolutely knackered now. Sledging is hard work . Going to be asleep by 6pm at this rate!
Girls are back to their normal selves so back to normal tomorrow. Just hope the roads are too icy especially as I have a commute through the forest where they may not have gritted very well!
Haven't spent anything today as we've been too busy having fun in the now. I have been thinking that at some point soon I'm going to need to sort out my travel insurance and stuff for the holiday, so might sort that on payday. It's only about £17 or so, so isn't going to break the bank too much!
A brand new week tomorrow. Hope everyone's had a good weekend!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Ah the joys of parenting. I've ended up having to come home ill thanks to picking up K's bug. Had to come home before I ended up infecting the whole office. Bleh. Pesky kids.
So this afternoon I will be slobbing on the sofa and relaxing. Feel like I've been beaten up so plan on doing very very little until I have to pick the kids up later.
Had some statements for the girls' investments that my dad set up today, so have been able to update my spreadsheets with the annual figures. The girls are going to be laughing come their 18th birthdays! I can just imagine them spending it on absolute crap :eek:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

My brother spent his on crap, I spent mine on a laptop for my college work (my dad spent the remainder fixing his car when he crashed it into our wall grrrr) I bet they'll be wise with it having you as a role model
My deposit for my flat is money my parents gave me about 6 years ago which I invested all the way through uni, they gave my brother the same amount to pay off some debts like loans cc's and a car finance. He's 30 next month and still hasn't moved into even rented accommodation but I'm buying soon. Hope I can pass this onto any kids if I have them.HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000

Forgot to note that today I put 2 expenses claims in, and am expecting £8.50 and £9.70 back at some point in the next month. Both of which will go straight off the card when I get them.
Going to update my budgets in a bit. Hoping to pay off as much as possible this week and get back on track. Want to get the smaller card paid off my the end of this month if I can!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
