  • Hi
I am new to this site but my friend recommended it, so here I go.
    1. I had a lovely brisk walk at lunchtime with said friend.
    2. We agreed to set ourselves a challenge and limit our intake of sweet things to 1 a day (can't wait to eat my aero tonight whilst watching all the mad people in the jungle)
    3. We also agreed to take our time eating instead of wolfing it all down like we have never eaten before.
    4. I walked away from work today after a difficult afternoon without handing in my notice. (really need the job, so I was very sensible)
    5. Had lovely cuddles from D1 & D2
    6. Had equally lovely cuddles from OH.
    7. Had another lovely cuddle from Mum who had also shared bad afternoon with me.
    8. Cooking gammon which is one of my favourite, however I am not at all fussy on food which you can probably all tell from above.
    9. Ordered another Christmas present.
    10. Going to try to go back to meditating as very stressful for all at this time of year and feel this would be a very positive thing for me to do.

Looking forward to reading everyones posts and coming back tomorrow!

Well done Shazzybe for joining up and finding 10 positive things. I only usually say 5 so you went all out given it was an unpleasant day at work. Here are today's positives for me.
    46. went for a chilly but satisfying lunch time walk with lovely admin assistant
47.paid my lunch dues at work (no more spending this week now)
    48. found 50p down the side of my sofa
    49. got bought a large glass of wine by a friend to celebrate her successful audit
    50. ate no cakes today (but sometimes consider this a negative depending on my waistline on any given day)

Can't believe I have found 50 positive things to say already. Things certainly look better when you look at them from a different angle. Hooray for looking at things from strange angles!
    Happy hunting for positives everyone

I will go for 5 things per day, not all of which will be debt-busting, but at least one of them will be!

We are all happy to have new people joining in so welcome. Like you not all mine are debt busting. I can't find the time to make extras on the internet but I am trying to tighten the purse strings and pay off some debts more quickly. Seems like I pay off one and another one crawls into my bank account without me hardly even noticing! Where do they come from?
    Todays positives are
    51. gave my friends in the office at work big hugs as they are having a nightmare time at the moment
    52. opened oven door to heat kitchen at the end of cooking as still not giving Mr B Gas my hard earned cash
    53. went for lunch time walk in beautiful sunshine
    54. got the children in my class to write positive things about themselves (like this site helps with) which cheered up the whole lot of us
    55. had a dodgy moment with DS2 but he and I ended up hugging and kissing to make up. Love him.

I hope you all had a positive day.
    Kind regards

  • Hi All
This is going to be really hard today so going for 5 positive things
    11. Had a lovely brisk walk at lunchtime to clear my head with fellow work collegues.
    12. NSD, Had previously won £5 on scratch card so cashed in for lottery tickets in the hope of winning millions, will share if I do. YThink that counts as NSD.
    13. Left all the biscuits alone even though had terrible day. Im so proud.
    14. Had a catch up with best friend, tea and still no biscuits.
15 Going now to play badminton with OH. Probably get thrashed but will have loads of fun.

Hope you are all ok and love reading all your comments. Its amazing what you can achieve when you really think. See you all tomorrow.
  • Ok, thanks for letting me join in! I need every challenge going to keep me motivated! So, here are my five things from today:

    1. Made a PAD, but otherwise it was a NSD.
    2. Went for a run.
    3. Made dinner and the leftovers will make some handy lunches for the OH to take to work, trying to help him cut down on spending too!
    4. Tidied the house for an hour
    5. Joined the YouGov survey site. Can anyone recommend any other good ones to join please?

hi :hello: and welcome to Fairyclick's thread :D

are you looking for recommendations for survey sites?

    1. Valued Opinions

    2. Crowdology

    3. MySurvey

    4. Ipsos

    5. the best one of all - Pinecone :D

    6. NewVistaLive

there are lots more out there, but I have whittled down all the survey sites I used to do, to these. These are the better payers for me, with faster cashouts.
