  • Hi guyssssssssssss, been away for a few days but its good to be back and catch up on all your posts. I have been naughty and not kept a list of my 5 pos. things from the days I've missed so I can't remember what i've been up to. I think i've got problems with my memory, haha but I will just have to start again for today, hope you can forgive my scattyness
    1. had a lovely, LOVELY day at work. I may only be on min.wage, but I am so lucky to love my job. my friend made my day even better by bringing me the BIGGEST xmas mocha i have ever seen (omg it was amazing, and free!)
    2. learnt a new routine for my class which only took me 10 mins, usually takes me hours to do this so i must be getting better
    3. had two enquires about one of my classes so word must be getting round, yaaay!
    4. used time credits well by watching my tv programs on iplayer whilst tidying and getting ready for my class (LOVE that you all like the time credits idea, I will have to tell my OH)
    5. Taught a great class with the new routine in, everyone had fun! Goodtimes
haha slowdown I laughed abput ur bowling alley experience. meant to ask you asbout the cake thing at work actually, my mum is a teacher and is trying to lose weight, there were always cakes/sweets/biscuits in the staffroom that everyone would bring in for each other, which is lovely, but they all made an agreement to bring in healthy homemade snacks instead to helkp each other keep fir and lose weight, is this something your workplace might be open to do you think? Could really help everyone out as they are SO tempting when they are just sitting there waiting to be eaten lol

Ah you are so right the temptation is huge but my will power isn't. Part of me is so tired of people on a constant diet and fussing about their fingernails, that I feel it is my duty to balance them out with my cake eating, gardening hands, no make up approach to life. I will be mentioning my cake eating in my positives today.
It would be sensible to field the healthy snacks approach in the staff room but I might struggle to get the idea past my own lips, let alone into the minds of others. I shall take some time credits to mull it over.
Poor you vintage not feeling better yet. I hope it turns a corner soon
    Positives for today.
    56. kept my mouth shut in staff meeting
    57. have walked about 13000 steps
    58. ate a delicious cake before going to staff meeting strictly for purpose of survival
    59. got credit card bill with a balance of £0 (lovely)
    60. only spent on petrol and a sandwich for 6 foot 2 inch starving teenage son
    61. am thinking about taking steps to slowdown my life (just thinking mind) as things are somewhat ridiculous on the busy front

    Kind regards
    Slowdown:)
  • Hellllllllllllllllllloooooo All

Glad to here you have all had reasonably ok days. I love this time credit idea. I used mine today for my Zumba Class which is also free as its part of my membership. Yipee.
Suzitiger, your idea for the staff room is great. I may suggest it and bring in the carrot sticks and celery. I can still hide all the good snacks in my desk drawers.
I am now going to have a go at my positives,
    16. NSD 2 in a row I think.
    17. Feel great after exercise.
    18. Had a lovely bunch of flowers from a good friend at work to cheer me up.
    19. Had big hugs from my daughters.
    20. Planned my new vegetable patch with my OH.
    21. Checked out the winter veg in the garden and they are all still alive and growing strong. 1st time I have tried to grow winter veg.
I can only manage 6 but that's not too bad.
Im going to watch the replay of IM A CELEB and use more time credits. I am not sure that I am using the time credits in the right way but it works for me.
    Take care all
    Shazzybe
  • Hello everyone! Thanks for the suggestions for survey sites, that's very helpful :T

I need these positives, since I accidently went over my OD limit today by 88p.

    My five positives today:

    1. Tidied house for one hour
    2. Made packed lunches for tomorrow
    3. Practised guitar for one hour
    4. Made a PAD, albeit a very small one
    5. Joined 'Valued Opinions' survey site.

One question I have about the survey sites please, do they email you when they have available surveys for you to do, or do you have to keep checking them? Many thanks x

Best approach to have really slowdown, especially in essex :) I love in newcastle and I feel very pale on a night out in comparison to all the tanned-to-the-max geordie lasses. I think teachers need cakes to get them through the week. I did a PGCE and I couldn't handle it!! U all deserve medals :T Sounds like you have had a very positive day. Here are mine:-
    1. Went to Zumba for the first time today, and loved it!! Shame I am the competition really :)
    2. Went out for a kgb deal lunch that the OH paid for (it was lovely)
    3. Made lost of flyers about the new time for my class and put them out in places
    4. Had LOTS of people at my lunchtime class today, word is getting round :)
    5. Literally just had a job offer for another dance class come thru from my old boss, things are definately on the up! (teachers please teach me how to spell definatly, i am dyslexic and i can never remember how to spell it :-S )
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D

  • Shazzybee, time credits are all about what you want, but for me it is all about using up all those little bits of time in a productive way. A bit like disc defragmentation. I want an I-phone so that I can do my business emails and other silly things like messing around on facebook whilst I am travelling to work ojn public transport. its stuff I need to do anyway, but it means i am not at home doing it when i could be doing something else. Making sense?
