In that respect no of course not, but it sounds like the new company is applying a different pricing policy to customers who previously purchased items under a different company.

    That surely is illegal?

how is that illegal they are a different company its like saying Asda has to have the same pricing policy as Tesco

they are a different company on paper, so they can have their own pricing policy.

When my business went under earlier this year I was asked to call in for a meeting at 9:00am, hand over the keys, point to the necessary paperwork and asked to leave. The staff were kept on, just to sell off the bankrupt stock.

you put you foot in it Mr Cussins, you said you worked for JP and then you gave the above statement. if you worked for him then it was not your business.

it happens allk the time a ltd company set up, fleece customers close down and then the director sets up again usually same premises , same staff.

all a director is liable for is whatever their shares are, so if they have 1 x £1 share then they are liable for £1 even i9f they took millions from the business
  • texranger get a life ! You're like a dog with a bone.

I left in 2004, having worked for a number of years, as a sales person, then promoted to management. Had many a run in with directors.

Since 2004 have run my own business. This failed last year through no fault of my own. People like you who don't know what goes on and have clearly never had the stress. Should not judge. I am bankrupt and can not be a director until my bankruptcy ends.

I agree none of them should be allowed to be directors and set up any future businesses. John has suffered with ill health for many years and should have stopped a long long time ago, Ben should know when to give up, coming back to Yorkshire from London at his dads request was his biggest mistake, Nicholas well, he was the biggest mistake, I've never known anybody waste so much money on inappropriate furniture that would never sell.

well since running my business since 1999 i have had many days of stress and know how busineeses work. you comments come across as if you are a director trying to defend the business and as a newbie only joined to join in this thread
  • We paid £1230 deposit (unfortunately by debit card) for a suite in July, due for delivery this month, I e-mailed Oak Contract Solutions on Tuesday and this is their response, received today.

“I regret we will be unable to supply Natuzzi product. There is a possibility that they will supply these goods direct but we have no further information. Sorry...”

Not the type of reply you would expect from a company that wants to retain goodwill.

Have to say when this was posted on here previously, I was thinking it was not the whole story and they (Oak Contract Solutions) had said something in addition, but my wife got the very same curt reply back today. No apology or regret, them knowing we have lost over 2 thousand pound. It's totally scandalous. How O'Haras can have the audacity to say these bunch of crooks will do all they can for us and we get a reply back like that. Not even a "we are sorry but we can offer you something else in return" .. not that we would take it. So the Cussins family screw peoples lives up and start all over again. That ain't right and if I see one of them, they will certainly regret it. This is now with our Bank .. Hopefully we'll get some of the money back, but I'm not counting on it.
