Ugh!! why does everything stink sweaty? I've just bought my bars of soap ready to make gloop now I dont know what to do. BTW i bought Sainsbury's Basic soap - 3 bars for 13p. Was that a mistake?:(

I dont have a recipe that involves a microwave either. The one I have involves dissolving it in a large pan and adding soda crystals.......
I need to do my washing but after i loaded the machine i realised i ran out of washing powder last week & failed to get around to getting more:eek:. So i quickly put the computer on & came here to see if there was an alternative to bought washing powder. I descovered 'Gloop' so i mixed up a batch of the simple version, (bar of grated soap, microwave, hot water, soda crystals. thanks Math.;))
It has got the clothes clean,Yippeee :T.
BUT everything stinks sweaty! (I'm sure i read that soda crystals can do this) I think i'll have to invest in better conditioner:o or get another bottle of febreze to spray everything with:p.

Will i use 'Gloop' again? ... Of course i will, i've got a big bowl of the stuff to use up now. :rotfl:

You used to be able to buy it from Boots, not sure if they still sell it? Small hardware shops sometimes sell it.

You can buy it in bulk (6 packs) online from Dripak, they have an ebay shop.

You don't actually need borax - I just use equal quantities soap flakes and washing soda and it works wonderfully. :)
