My order is due for delivery today :) Ordered on the 26th before 10pm.
  • Well I am sure they are oos on many items as my printer got cancelled yesterday. I received a very rude email saying order cancelled and do not reply to the email. No mention what I should do if I need to contact.

This was my first order with Staples so not very good start. I think they are misleading customers.

    Hi Seth,

i missed this one in all the posts, the email was sent direct from the operative cancelling the orders, unfortunately if everyone had replied to her personally, she would not have been able to respond to everyone, i have passed the feedback to our operations director for future emails.

if you would like to query anything there are two ways to contact us,

    tel: 0844 546 7777

    or by webform here;
    http://www.staples.co.uk/ContactUs.aspx?topic=Any_other_questions

i would advise that at the moment, it is quicker to call as the emails are being worked on as quickly as possible, but there is a lot in the queue and the phones are relatviely quiet at the moment.

I ordered about 1:30-2:00am that morning and I only got a cancellation email 9 days later, nothing else apart from the money taken/reserved from my account. No other emails.
Pretty disappointed to see other customers who ordered 9+ hrs later get their orders fulfilled.
I wrote an email to customer services and the ceo but really annoyed with Staples in general.

Thanks OP - I ordered the evening that this glitch was posted but heard nothing, however this morning 3 things happened - I received an acknowledgment email, the money came out of my bank, and 10 mins ago the TNT driver delivered my parcel - Coffee & diaries for next year. :)

To help people, which, clearly, you are not.

time to ignore the internet hero, who sits behind his computer acting big and tough.

Is there anything else I can do? Thanks.

it would largely depend on what you ordered, please understand that soo many orders and so many neededing to be cancelled or amended will undoubtedly leave human error in the mix.

if you got a cancellation email, then unfortunately it is cancelled and not a great deal they can do about it, what item did you order?

It was the HP printer but like a lot of people ordered way before those that received them who ordered 9hrs later.

Also hearing some people are able to use their codes for other purchases who had their printers cancelled by calling the helpline....?

I did one order of teabags on the 26th and received only a welcome pack which arrived today. No cancellation e-mail either. I was gasping for a cuppa too...

If they sent you an order confirmation email to you prior to getting a cancellation you can demand a replacement. If they don't do that then you can sue them for the difference in cost that you would pay elsewhere.

Legally they are screwed on that one but only if they sent the order confirmation out. They didnt do that with most but they did with many.

    Totally unprofessional.

So why don't you sue them?
