    I just got this email 10 mins ago

    I got my Winerack and Felt tip last week and looks like printer is on its way

    and just to let you know i ordered on the THURSDAY at around 11:20AM alteast around 11 hours after it was discovered!

    I didn't order anything big. Ordered on the 26th at about 9pm.

    Took my money & gave me confirmation & delivered a brochure.

    Queried this via email Saturday & they have just answered with a standard cancellation email.

    I am not going to bother with customer service but just found the CEOs email on hotukdeals.

    Customer Service are obviously a waste of space.

  • Thanks again to the OP, and also to Staples for working through all these orders and sending out what you can despite probably losing out on a fair bit of profit - I'll definitely be using you again in the future. (Having my items turn up out of the blue, and at such an awesome discount, felt a little bit like Christmas had come early!) :o :beer:

    I think we can safely say you getting your stuff is purely accidental & nothing to do with the competence of Staples staff.

    Evidence for this - OPs of the original posts on hotukdeals not getting their stuff.

  • ordered 2 x 460 pg tips and a ream of 500 copy paper on the 26th ,recieved confrimation of order on the 1st nov followed by an email saying pg tips out of stock and new stock next week ,then a dispatched email 1st nov for the ream of copy paper which arrived this morning ,just hope now that the pg tips arrive next week and are delivered

    PG Tips commng in stock from tomorrow, will be delivered on Friday or Monday. Customer service staff was good ( well the one I spoke to, she also changed my delivery address)
  • as i said in my earlier post, i do not officially represent Staples, i am however happy to help where needed, all opinions expressed are my own and not those of Staples uk retail limited, anyone who sends anything to me does so at their own choice.

    wether is right or proper under the forum guidelines doesnt bother me, i have long campaigned to the MD that we need an offcial presence on boards like these, in order to offer more proactive customer service, but they seem intent on the "traditional" routes, i mean, we dont even have a facebook page or twitter, US Staples does, im slowly wearing them down, and marketing are in discussion on the facebook page as i type this, so hopefully that will be live soon.

    and obviously you are upset with Staples, the vitriol you have flung at them is quite apparent.
    were a big company, we dont always get it right, but we do try.
