Mupette, have you tried "up your income" board? I've started ebaying after some advice from that board and managed to get a bit of savings behind me that way.
yes been reading those.
tbh i have nothing of any value to sell on ebay, and got ripped off by people before on there so i really hate to sell on ebay or any type of selling place
i have an electric wheelchair that i want to sell so i can buy a scooter which would be easier for me to get in and out of the car with, and have even used specialist disabled websites to sell... the amount of people on there that are just after your bank details etc is unbelieveable. I have dropped the price and no serious offers have been made.
I don't think i would be up to Avon/Betterware or anything that means trawling the streets to deliver catalogues and collect them again, and this area i am in are swamped by them already.
Have signed up to a few companies that do research online, but are full at the moment so awaiting that..0 -
How are you with crafting? My friend makes and sells dream catchers and wind chimes and has a decent income from it.0

haha well funny you should say that...
after reading one of your posts about knitting... i've just managed to start again, very ropey... crochet not a chance.. i love to try craft things... but (seems i'm always making excuses) i can't concentrate for long... started a cross stitch last year and not even half finished...
doesn't making things cost you first and if it is not up to scratch you get no money? i'm interested...0 -
She started with junk making the chimes, I'll ask her more about it when I see her (they're on rota lol)0

Well did something constructive today, dusted down the cv, and contacted an old agency i used to work with. Had a good long chat with them about what i think my capabilities would be, what my expectations are.
Looking good, hopefully something good will come of this.
Basically said that i didnt want to find a permanent job right now, but stick with the agency (they can hold my hand) whilst i get back to working, and seeing how i will cope, they were very nice and understanding :T0 -

I think this post says a lot about the work capabilities of some of the people claiming sickness benefits. Can't possibly work whilst the taxpayer is providing but apparently able to do some work if the benefit stops.0 -

well you took that and twisted that wrong didnt you, think that is called fail.
let me explain.
The reason why i don't want to have a permanent job right now.
I don't want to be taken on by some company and they dont want to keep me for more than a few months.
I would prefer to work for an agency doing temp work building up my knowledge of whats going on, since i have been out of work for such a long time (2 years - but the way you go on anyone would think i have never worked.)
I want the protection of being with an agency and just temp work whilst i get back on my feet with getting back into work. The agency suggested that perhaps part time for a while until i get used to it, and see how i feel and how i am coping.
so let me just clarify some facts for you, before you start making some up.
When i have work, be it part time or full time or any work, all the details, pay, hours etc.. first port of call for me will be the benefits agency.
So whilst i appreciate you have this need to belittle me, your are just a faceless person in front of a computer who needs thier kicks..
Can i suggest you leave this thread, you obviously have nothing constructive to say, and you might just make a fool of yourself.
Just for the record my benfit hasn't stopped.. Don't slam the door on the way out.
Unless you know what it is like to live with MS, you can't possibly know0 -

Reading this implies that you are fit for work, but you are picky as to what you do. Either you are explaining things badly, or krisskross was spot on?0
