My name is Buffy and I am frumpy.

I am 35 but dress like a librarian on her way to a funeral who looks like a 50 year old from the 1950s.

That would be fine if that is what I was living in the 1950s!

So spurred on by a brilliant book

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-Do-Everything-Happy-ebook/dp/B004QOAUDS/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1321747008&sr=1-1

I have been considering various aspects of my life.

    1. Work
has actually improved. And would improve if I were more organised and less lazy.

    2.Home life
is also not so bad, certainly needs changing but again with my tendancy towards apathy this could be fixed.

    3. Friendships
    Are being neglected

    4. Relationship
not got one do want one.

    5. me
    not healthy
    overweight
    skin a mess
    hair needs cutting

    Rules of the Glamour plan

    1. to do something to contribute to glamour each day(I have really let myself go!!)
    - ie nails, facial, body scrub, lipstick, hair style, make up
    - or wearing nice clothes/shoes/jewellery etc

    2. to buy some new clothes.
    - via e bay or in sales. sounds mad but I really hate clothes shopping would be happy in black but a few people have commented and I think I maybe looking a little miserable!
will aim for once a week.

    3. To spend 10 minutes tidying up something each day. my disorganisation is a massive problem.

    4. To study 3 times a week
I am studying for two courses at the moment. need to factor in time for this.

    5. To mark 3 times a week
    at least. preferably 4.

    6. To log in to the free dating website I belong to at least three times a week.
    - like, wink up or message at least one person each time.

    7. To contact one friend each day, wall posts do not count.
text messages and e mails do

    8. To use my diary.
    put in everything!

    9. To go out once a week
    - see a friend, go for a drive, essentially aiming to get away from home and work.

    10. To go to the gym place twice a week.
I am contemplating giving up membership - been a member a month and not loving it. if not the gym then going for a walk.

I have called it the Glamour plan because I want to feel better about my life and my appearance, I want to be polished and organised with some hint of mystery. I feel at the moment that I am treading water, nothing is happening and I want to spice up my life.

    xxxx

Buffy, you have literally read my mind.
Although I have a few years on you, I need to get some glamour in my life too.

    Good Luck :)

  • I plucked my eyebrows and texted a friend.

I have the start of a mirgaine

currently feels like a hat or helmet is getting tighter and tighter on my head with a layer of pain under that plus my head feels so heavy and I feel slightly sick. Soon I won't be able to focus properly and I will vomit. That really is the worst thing cos I KNOW what is coming. The shooting pain the pain in waves.

someone needs to invent a wheatgerm bag that fits over your shoulders and down your back without all the wheatgerm !!!!!!ing about.

so glamour is on hold whilst I die quietly in the corner and wonder where my decent pain killers are.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Sorry to hear that your migraine is back, but woohoo to the glamourous plan.

You have been back to your doc and asked her about preventative medicine for the migraines, haven't you?

  • Hello

I have a doctor's appointment next week. Aside from you guys two of my friends from my second job sat me down and told they were worried about me - an intervention no less! So yeah, embarrassing but very.........i don't know what the word is, I felt cared for? naff huh..

I have really run out of steam this week, marked sixty books at the start but am now exhausted by a few 12 hour days and other work. I am waiting to be washed up on the beach of the weekend and go from there.

the glamour plan going well in parts, I am flirting with two men on my dating site. I have contacted one friend each day.

I am just going with tomorrow and what it brings.

    Good luck everyone xxxx

Well Friday ended up being the worst day of the week.

Put it this way, I did everything right in the circumstances and was made to feel like scum. I didn't feel like scum cos well I think the person involved is a complete jobsworth sadcase and cannot make me feel anything - apart from furious. which I was.

I was going to write some stuff about the strike on Wednesday but I would hate for my diary to become a slag off teachers thread.

    In other news,

When I did get home last night I went to be at 6 as the head was so bad and woke up at ten, ate something and then went back to bed! only woke up an hour ago or so.

today is going to be spent pottering around the house. I may have to pop out to the dodgy high street but generally I am going with tidying and marking. Am meant to be out tonight but not really up to it. I don't know tho. I want to go out. but also don't want any any "have tos" in my day!

mind you it is 11.30 so I had best get a move on.

Hope you're making the progress you want to today, if I feel I have loads of things to do and don't know where to start I generally don't! So well down for switching off the computer and getting on with it.

As for going out tonight, go for it! When we cant be bothered and don't know whether to go or not, those nights always turn out to be the best, enjoy.
  • It was a good night out.

had many cocktails and nice food.

only woke up an hour ago and feel a little delicate.............

had lots to do today but very much doubt it is going to done.

am watching Something for the Weekend I Love that show! I love Louise, so there, in my hungover state I will admit that!
