Hello Folks,
I took a break from my diary over the holiday period, being with the family meant frankly I would have just whinged my bum off about it all! Now it is over and I have a Snowball I feel much better about the whole thing. Two days, nice presents, good food, LOADS of Chocolate. No I couldn't do anything I wanted and yes there were a few comments I could have done without but nothing is perfect. And I had lovely presents and food so you know.............
I am instead planning what to do with the rest of the holiday, am very pleased I did a great deal of tidying pre Christmas so there is only some "sorting of paperwork (two baskets and two drawers) plus of course school work.
and I am going to do some gardening!
Had a good holiday so far
Hope all of you are well

Hello, just delurking from the catch up ( I am reading forwards and backwards at the same time in case I miss anything FAB). Anyway I am delurking to comment on the friend issue...... sorry to drag it up but I needed to share this story.
Age 15 I spotted a boy in the school corridor - gorgeous (looked like Nick Heyward that shows my age), love at first sight - really
Age 17 my best friend starts going out with his best friend so we became friends.
Age 20 Christmas time - gave up on him ever having the same feelings for me and noticing that I was, in fact, in love with him so started a relationship with somebody
Age 23 - got married to said man
Age 25 - divorced (no need to go into detail)
Age 26 - married for a second time
Age 20 - 46 - constantly remembered my first love who had gone off to live in Scotland and then Wales
Age 40 - second husband left me unexpectedly - heartbroken
Age 43 just before Christmas - visiting a friend who lived across the road from first loves Mum and Dad. Told her all about him - she announces he is visiting them and his car is outside their house - convinces me to leave a note on his car
Age 43 - Boxing Day - met up with him for a drink - picked up where we left off and went home feeling sad because I thought it was going to be the same friendship
2 months later - tipsy - told him how I felt age 15 and then 17-20 and then now. Turns out he always felt the same but thought I didnt!!!!
So I dont know if you have actually explained to said friend how you feel. If you have and you know he doesnt then you have done the right thing to move on. My Nana always said that if you love somebody then you have to give them wings and set them free. If things are meant to be then they will return when the time is right. If not then you have to set your own heart free and allow yourself to love again. It is possible. I think that you have been very brave to make the decision, now be brave and start to enjoy your life alone, by doing that you will attract love.
Back to lurkdom to catch up. Have you seen Mr Bs challenge 2 stone or 2 thousand in four months...... might be good challenge for saving your deposit/paying off bills and it fits with your 3 month chunks. Great idea by the way. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Hello MrsMoo2U,
Good story - ermm are you together now? - edited to add, just read Hypno's dairy, how lovely! xx amazing how things like that happen, people hold torches for someone and never say anything. I suppose everything happens for a reason.
I haven't explained to him, I know he doesn't feel the same way, he was very badly hurt by someone and has different priorities now, he sadly doesn't believe in love or long term relationships. I suspect a pretty young thing might turn his head one day but it won't be me, I must move on. Find someone who wants what I want and loves me.
SO on with the 3 month plan,
First Chunk 22nd December to 22nd March.
1. Pay off 1500 to CC (CC bill will still be there, dependant on dental work plans.)
- will ring and see what the damage is so far. eekk
2. Save 1000 as an emergency fund.
- I have 700 in the savings account, will more than likely put this on the CC and see what I can save from December's wages, it would need to be 400 pounds I think.........
3. have lost a stone.
- must go for a walk each day
4. Stay at the Gym and learn to use the scary machines.
- will go Tuesdays and Thursdays after work. will message friend today to break the news she is coming with me. If nothing else that should give her a good laugh!
5. Most importantly - keep up at work.
-have binned LOTS of old resources and out of date !!!! I don't need. Have a plan for the marking. This is my big sticking point tho. will have to think, I do need to fall in love with it all again.
6. Complete next Masters assignment.
- will e mail tutor regarding what I do next.
7. Book one holiday.
- shall set up a savings acount for this.
which leads me to doing my budget.
hmmmm.
see you all later

it's always good to have plans Buffy but don't forget you have to plan in some you time, and some rest and relaxation time, you don't want to burn out and then upset yourself if you don't achieve all your goals. But that doesn't mean i think you can't achieve the targets you've set yourself.0

Its funny you say that cos in the end today I haven't done much at all. I watched CSI Miami, Grey's Anatomy and Merlin, had a late lunch cleaned out the Gerbils (very funny pets) and the hamster, just had dinner.
really have to hoover my room now! Small furries make a lot of mess!
I have to say I only enjoyed bits of my day. I will ponder more on this later
