  • Not you as well pyxis!! 🙈 bless you, hope you're okay!
The last time I fell down the stairs was several years ago when I had dogs - she had decided to get right in front of me and I was carrying a laptop at the time - ended up with a few broken ribs and a very spooked dog!! 😂 Surprisingly the laptop survived! 😉
Made some puy lentils, buckwheat and houmous today - also made a spinach and asparagus thing to use up some frozen spinach and some asparagus that was past its best - it was  absolutely foul 😝 thew it out immediately🙈 think there may have been some dodgy spinach in the bag!

Oh no Pyxis, that sounds awful.xxx

    Thanks guys.xxx <3

Yes, it was a shock as I was holding some tea towels in one hand and a bottle of water in the other and I felt myself slip off the top step but I couldn't stop myself and slipped down to the bottom. Luckily I landed on my back and didn't fall onto my front at all. The bruise on my ankle is almost half way up my calf. :'(

I scared my dogs, one of them hid behind the chair for about 3 hours afterwards as I was swearing as I landed. :D

That last bit made me smile........sounds like the dog was as shaken up as you were!

Did he think it was his fault you'd slipped down the stairs? Bless him!

When I had dogs, the one time I encouraged them to go ahead of me was at the top of the stairs! Wasn't going to risk getting tangled up in hurtling furry feet! 😁
I must have made a racket as we have wooden stairs and no carpet and I shouted out the F word when I finally stopped falling. :D
He probably thought it was an earthquake! 😉

I was worried in case you might think that! 😱
No, 😁, but having taken a tumble myself, on a bare wood staircase, I know what a racket it can make! And I didn't go all the way down!

My stomach felt upset yesterday. I had some brown rice in the evening and that seemed to settle it. I'm going to have the same today. I have onion, cucumber, peppers, tomato and fresh pineapple and I will make a salsa to go with the steamed rice today. :)

    Yet another weird meal yesterday.

Due to a fridge full of veg that needed eating, I sautéed a mixture of onion, garlic, green beans, samphire, and chopped fresh herbs, and ate them with boiled Jersey Royals, roasted red and yellow sweet bite peppers, and  topped with steamed asparagus tips.

Today, I had beans on toast! 😄

Now, now......don't diss the dog! He was obviously trying to give you the kiss of life!
Or maybe jumping on you was the canine version of the Heimlich Manoeuvre! 😂
