My tins of banana blossom should be arriving this morning. I'll have other fresh stuff to eat first, though, but am looking forward to trying it.
It won't be deep-fried, though! I haven't deep-fried anything for over thirty years!

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • Other than sticky ginger seitan, nor have I pyxis!! 😷 I'm really not good with deep fried stuff which is weird really as I love bread with a good olive oil and balsamic 🤔😂
I've decided that I shall keep slobbing till lunchtime then spend the afternoon cooking - still no idea what but makes it more interesting! 😊
  • It's gone quiet on here over the last few days! 🤔 hope everyone is okay 😉
I didn't get round to cooking - I decided to spend more time in the garden instead and I'm glad I did, it's starting to look reasonable and many of my veggies are germinating 🙌 hopefully I'll have lots to use out of my garden which will be the thing influencing my dinner choices in the months to come 😉
It's dh's birthday today - we were meant to be on a big family holiday to celebrate but obviously couldn't go - I'm going to have to find out what dh wants for dinner instead - hopefully it will be something that I can rustle up from what we have in!
The weather is pretty miserable here and looks like it may be like that for a couple of days so I think I'll do a big cooking session tomorrow- I'm going to do puy lentils with lemon potatoes, chocolate mint and pomegranate buckwheat, carrots and parsnips with dijon and maple, and an orange, date and walnut salad. Nomnom! 😊
  • Not a lot to report - had some of my haggis bites from the freezer for lunch today which were lovely 😊 I'm having a cleaning day tomorrow and that will include a clear out of the fridge - not sure what is in there so dinner may be interesting tomorrow! 😂

I fell down the bluddy stairs the other day. I'm covered in bruises. :(

I cannot be bothered to cook at the moment. I had toast for breakfast and I'm having a vegan burger in a bun with salad for lunch.

    ☹️☹️☹️ Poor you! 🤕🤕🤕🥴🥴🥴
I think that merits ordering a takeaway or three,  for delivery, assuming there is somewhere you can order vegan meals from.
You need some TLC for several days, as the bruises will hurt like billy-o for a while.

Plus the shock is horrible, isn't it? You sit there, totally winded, wondering if you have broken something and whether you dare move! ☹️☹️☹️
I was wearing old leather mules with a new but loose insole, which slipped out of the mule a third of the way down the stairs, sending me flying. Banged a rib badly and tore a bit of muscle in my thigh. Goodness knows how I didn't break the rib, and the bruise on my thigh was ginormous! Still have a lump there, three years on.
    So I really, really sympathise!

Ps.,I don't wear mules on the stairs any more, and always hold the bannister!

By the way, M&S have also started delivering basic stuff via Deliveroo. The selection isn't large, but they may have something suitable to be a takeaway meal or three!  Might be worth looking into.
Get your local Deliveroo up and see if they list M&S in your area. The advantage is that they may be able to deliver very quickly....I was quoted 20-40 minutes! (It's meant to be a sort of 'takeaway' idea, hence the small range available, and a maximum of two items of each thing).

I might have a link somewhere....I'll go and look......

Edit......yes, this link will tell you if there's one in your area.....

Oh no Pyxis, that sounds awful.xxx

    Thanks guys.xxx <3

Yes, it was a shock as I was holding some tea towels in one hand and a bottle of water in the other and I felt myself slip off the top step but I couldn't stop myself and slipped down to the bottom. Luckily I landed on my back and didn't fall onto my front at all. The bruise on my ankle is almost half way up my calf. :'(

I scared my dogs, one of them hid behind the chair for about 3 hours afterwards as I was swearing as I landed. :D

That last bit made me smile........sounds like the dog was as shaken up as you were!

Did he think it was his fault you'd slipped down the stairs? Bless him!

When I had dogs, the one time I encouraged them to go ahead of me was at the top of the stairs! Wasn't going to risk getting tangled up in hurtling furry feet! 😁

I must have made a racket as we have wooden stairs and no carpet and I shouted out the F word when I finally stopped falling. :D
