As I said, I have no idea what they're on about. People here claim one thing (banks), their spokeswoman claims another (teacher pensions).
Journalists provide evidence they're all off home at nights, their spokeswoman says they're just in the tea tent, but then admits she'll be leaving the protest to go back home and back to work shortly.
Quite frankly it's all a bit of a shambles.
Seems as if you're having a hard time articulating what it's all about as well.
Perhaps you'll be able to report back after your visit.;)
It's probably a bit like the House of Commons (or the Bank of England), but, as requested, I will report back
That's if I can get any sleep tonight, I'm actually feeling quite stressed about the whole thing!

Well, enjoy your trip tomorrow. There's a great sweet shop just south of the camp, by the way....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

A growing group of people can see for themselves that the current system is simply failing. They can also sense that this is much more than a mere global financial crisis, which is the just most visible tip of the iceberg.
People are starting to put together the pieces and are shocked to see that that this is just symptoms of a limits-to-growth resource crisis.
Right now, they are just angry at political figures and parties, financial institutions and leaders, corporations and CEOs and feel instinctively that a better solution must surely exist.
This is why these "We are the 99%" protests seem nebulous and without clear direction.
Solutions will, eventually, be proposed. Governments and vested interests will call them crazy and will ridicule and suppress them.0 -

I will start taking them seriously when they start coming up with some practical alternatives to the current system they so despise.0 -

This is exactly how I feel too. Respect to anyone who gets off their backsides and tries to make a difference. Much better surely than griping on obscure internet forums, surely?0 -
I walk past this eyesore everyday as its between my office and the station I use.
IMO the crazies are starting to come in - saw a sign today stating that insulin had mercury in it and that this was "FDA approved since 1985" and has been "killing our children". Given that the FDA is in the US and has nothing to do with insulin in the UK (that's up to NICE surely?) I expect that some of their protestors are lifting their opinions directly from internet conspiracy sites.
NB My favourite poster so far was for the "London Anarchist Book Fair, Saturday 22nd October, 10am-6pm". So anarchic that they found a venue, date and time for it and also printed out posters...0 -
I should probably add that despite it being an eyesore I still respect their right to peaceful protest even if I think its utter !!!!!!!!.0
