It would appear some on hear are chosing not to listen, then shouting over the top over evreything else that they just dont understand.
It might not be terribly well reported, but I think most people do have a rough idea of what they want (bank/business reform, equality, stop the cuts all seem to be common themes, perhaps also a key aim is to try and get more people aware of the issues they are unhappy with), whether or not you agree with them or their message is seperate but blindly shouting "I dont know what they want" just makes those posters look slightly foolish.0 -

They may be common themes, but I still see no presentation of any workable alternatives or how it could be done. Are the suggestion increased borrrowing to stop the cuts? Do they want equality on a basis that everybody should have the same as evereybody else? Or is it just a general moaning session.
Please explain for someone as thick as me, what they actually do want.0 -

Look, i dont want to comment on your intelligence but all you keep saying is they dont have an alternative.
I have made it very clear to you what these protesters want. THEY WANT RID OF CAPITALISM!!! im hoping the caps lock will emphasise the point, i am not shouting.
They arent coming forward with many suggestions as to a replacement but believe capitalism is at fault for the situation governments/banks/financial institutions find themselves in.
Similar to your argument, the majority of people in libya do not know who they want to replace Gaddafi they just knew they wanted him gone, should they have not protested?
You seem to be incredibly stubborn on this matter and i very much doubt i will make you understand the reasons for peeople protesting although it is in general because they dont like something.
I take it you have very few complaints inlife seeing as most of us are incapable of coming up with ground breaking and innovative ideas that create solutions to all our complaints.0 -

I don't want to get rid of capitalism but think that regulatory control should have been better. Would I be welcome at the protest?0 -

My point is that just saying that "we want rid of capitalism" is pure hot air unless something is suggested to take its place.
Can you not see that?0 -

No, can you not see that capitalism is not the only tried and tested option?!
There are many different methods of economic structure with capitalism being one. can i refer you to a wiki link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_system0 -

I don't get the impression that you would be welcomed if you made that point. According to another poster their sole aim is "TO GET RID OF CAPITALISM".0 -
I don't want to get rid of capitalism but think that regulatory control should have been better. Would I be welcome at the protest?I'm in this boat too though. I won't wear my pinstripey suit to the protest if that helps.
I would probably suggest trying to achieve this by lobbying your MP and doing this in other ways.
The 'Occupy <city>" was started by a group called annonymous who are in simplest terms an anti capitalist movement. therfore these demonstrations are probably not suited for you. however if you went with an anti bank attitude and asked for reforms im sure a lot would agree with you, hoever if you mentioned you were in favour the majority (of protestors) would probably disagree0
