Being shagged by a lodger on benefits seems really dirty. You sure you're not living in some 1970s sitcom?

The OP should lose the single person discount from when the lodger moved in to the property, not from when they started a relationship.
The single person discount/rebate or whatever the OP claimed would have been valid when the lodger was "a lodger on benefits". Now they are in a relationship the discount/rebate can no longer apply.

Not sure why people are finding this funny, are tax payers banned from having sex with people on benefit ?

re. CT we have declared that we live as LL & Lodger and have been granted the discount. So I'm not sure where people are getting the idea from we ae not entitled to it ?

For the record we are a gay couple, not that has anything to do with anything. However I guess that is why we havn't been asked in the past to prove we are not in a relationship.

So I am I right in assuming the partner you were with who suffered from MS is no longer living with you?
    Are you still renting?
  • It's OK to shag them as long as they're not actually signing on at the time,
it makes the signature difficult to read.

If someone found out you were claiming a discount/rebate to which you are now no longer entitled to and reported you as being in a relationship then and only then may they ask you questions.
It's just funny how it's worded...

In a previous post back in January you referred to you and the other person as 'we' not 'me and my lodger' which could be taken as indicating you were a couple then.
The fact remains that if everyone claimed successfully for the nights they didn't have sex but not for the ones they did, the country would be bankrupt.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
