Don`t panic , it`s all very straightforward and shouldn`t contain any surprises. The OR will basically ask questions based on the petition document so if you have a copy to hand that`ll be good. Also get comfy with a mug of tea or somethiong , cos it can go on a bit - not in all cases but in some. If it`s all very straightforward then you should be done quite quickly.

All the best , let us know how it goes.

Sorry I didn`t get back with the pizza last night but had a bit of a mishap in the ice with a rabbit and a bank !!

Bloody talked that one up didn`t I . :rotfl:

anyway no real damage to me and the car bump will just join all the other little bumps.
  • Thanks for the number and the advice.

The interview has come really quickly after the declaration last Friday - thought it may take a week or 2 like it did for hubby. Still sinking in a bit. Still over quickly is probably best in the long run.

Couldnt reply earlier. Had logged on at work (funny our work normally stops you doing stuff like this!) but then got busy so couldnt get back to you.

    Hiya,

I was really stressed about my interview too. The OR was going to call at 15:30, but then phoned at 20 past to say she would call at 15:45. I thought my head was going to explode!
But really, it's not that bad. My mind went blank a few times. The worst one was when she asked what year my mum died, and I couldn't remember! Imagine that! She must've thought I was making it all up.
You will be fine, don't worry too much, you're nearly there now ;)

  • Finally back, have filled tax return for my rather large mistake of a biz (even got them in on time, so no penalties!!) :D

I've now started the forms for our Bcy next Fri, but starting to panic that we won't have the money available as the company we are relying on for the funds are now dragging their feet about paying out (bear in mind it's taken them 6 months so far to agree to pay the money out  )

I did ask when you were in your old "home", but did I get a number?

Starting to get stressed again, so am soooo looking forward to the end of Fri 16th as will be (nearly) over then! :T Just have to sort out the bank a/c after, though this maybe easier said than done as the co's we owe most to are Nationwide, Abbey & Smile (aka Co-op!) so this makes it sooo much easier!

  • Hi

We are seriously into bankruptcy and have a tel interview this afternoon with Consumer Credit Counselling Service... Most of the debt - around 90k is in my husbands name, there is no joint debt. They are asking for the income expenditure breakdown for both of us - which we are pulling together now.. will they make the both of us bankrupt of just my husband.

Is there any advice anyone can give for the initial stages?

This month is the first month we have not paid a number of the creditors - do we offer a minimum payment (which will be far below what they are expecting) or not pay at all.... they is very little money...

We are in a major mess and not sure which way to turn.. any help is hugely appreciated...

    Ta x
