Hi tammyfsr
It seems daunting waiting for your interview with OR. Is it a phone one or face to face?
OH had his by phone last month, he was mighty stressed. It was in the afternoon too which seemed to take ages to get to. I took day off work to be with him for his, just sitting beside him helped. Turned out the anticipation was about the worst thing. Your imagination runs a bit ahead of yourself and you wonder about what they will ask.
They seem to be fairly clinical in their approach though did ask some questions I thought possibly showed a lack of experience in the woman talking to him.
She had first made contact a few weeks earlier to discuss about the cars I think. She arranged for them to be assessed prior to the interview date. The guy who came agreed with our valuations anyway, so a bit of a waste of time.
Anyway, after going through the information she had, she asked him which car he wanted to keep and then agreed to let our son 'buy back' his car and that the bailiff would come later that week to take the one we weren't keeping.
She did ask about when he first noticed he was having trouble paying bills and seemed to stick on that a bit. Helped to have the print out of bky documents to hand. And about new bank account, so have those details to hand if you have opened a new one.
As we don't own the house, she asked to have a copy of the tenancy agreement sent to her.
Then she said that she would recommend to the OR that we should be allowed to keep one car and buy the other back. That if we didn't hear further that this would be acceptable. We were confused as thought she was the OR but she said she was a representative. Then we sort of sat waiting for 2 weeks holding our breath, but heard nothing more from them.
Anyway, the whole thing lasted just over 1/2 hour in total. Probably as we have so few assets. Hoping mine will be about that too as I own nowt.
Hope it goes ok for you both
