Went today for a few things, and decided to go or a coffee afterwards.
Couldn't get in to the cafe. Full of pensioners and parents with young kids taking advantage of the free cuppa.
It was like a bloody community centre..
how do you know that? when my son was young I used to pay for coffee, milk or some other drink for him and something for us to eat. So we have no right to eat in there as we are paying? but we are parents with young kids?0 -
Hi All,
Just to add that my intention was just to flag the article in the FT having read it in my local public library. I'm not anti-Labour in any sense.
Unfortunately, the link stopped working due to FT paywall restrictions, and I didn't want to infringe FT copyright by reproducing the text to multiple recipients.Free thinker.:cool:0 -
Yes in the middle of the text you pasted into your earlier post is this:
"Please share this article with others using the link below, do not cut & paste the article. See our Ts&Cs and Copyright Policy for more detail."0 -

She said Waitrose welcomed all people - everyone was welcome, and there was no such thing as 'the wrong sort of person'. And that despite an obviously heavily increased workload.
Nice people, Waitrose staff.0 -
Nice comments, too, from one the staff in our Waitrose when someone mentioned the press story about it attracting 'the wrong sort of people'.
