Rihanna concert tickets RIP OFF ! HELP!

It does state that they are sunk in the stage - I found that by googling as you suggested.
You didn't have a contract with Ticketmaster.
Do Ticketweb always state if tickets have restricted view?
Always? Always? Always?
From my experience yes, Ticketmaster and See Tickets etc will state if views are restricted.
I've not come across these 'pods' before, I'm assuming this is promoters trying to cash in on the 'side stage' mentality.0 -

Yes but not that the view is restricted.
Whatever the experience is not as they describe it to be. The try and sell it as one of the best tickets you can have. It really is not. 100% not.
Ticketweb is a partner site to Ticketmaster. Basically if you want a standard standing or seated ticket, you buy them off ticket master straight through them. if you want a meet and greet package, or pod tickets, or any experience packages, you still go through ticketmaster, where they are described but when you press on "buy", it takes you to Ticketweb. So yes, Ticketmaster should have said restricted view, so should ticket web.0 -
Just had to watch that video with the sound off (I'm at work) and it looks ridiculous. £175? I must be getting old..."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

As a regular at the LG, I've never heard of these stage pod things before, so I just had a quick Google.
By the looks of things, it's not an LG arena thing, it's only available on the Rihanna tour, so it looks like it's part of their stage set up, so I can understand the LG printing the definition given to them (albeit blindly).
One thing I did notice by looking at the stage set up is that the pods are basically at the bottom of tiers 1 and 17, which are both sections marked as 'restricted view'
I'd also note that when viewing ANY gig/concert from side-stage, you're always going to have one of the most p*ss poor views in the venue as, well, you're watching it close up and from the side, and therefore you're not seeing it 'as intended' ie from the front.
Unfortunately, there was also never any guarantee that Rihanna would acknowledge you. In fact, I find that manufactured pop trash acts rarely ever do (luckily I like decent bands who always have time for the fans who put them where they are now. Something these pop ar*es would do well to remember!) and as the ticket doesn't guarantee a friendly interaction or acknowledgement from Rihanna, you haven't got a leg to stand on from that point of view (it could be argued that she came 'up close' and that you got your 'personal' experience by meeting her moody ignorant side)
In future, can I recommend that you try the venue's VIP deck? Tickets are about £75, with a couple of free glasses of champers and some free chocs, and you view it from between the two best tiers in the house, so your view is fab & unrestricted.0 -

I think this sums it up, sadly, pixie. Other, more savvy, concert goers know these pods are a bit rubbish which is why those other girls were able to get in without paying the full price. Unfortunately you didn't know this and believed the advertising hype. There's a fine line between false advertising and being suckered. Unfortunately in this case, I think your disappointing experience is more down to your own naivete and lack of knowledge than anything more sinister."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
[STRIKE]You could try writing a letter to the site who sold the tickets but it might be a losing battle.[/STRIKE]0

Also, having looked at the description on several sites, none say that you will have a good view.
It seems to me that you got what you were promised, ie a standing spot on a pod sunk into the stage. You assumed this would be a great view, but you assumed wrong, unfortunately.0 -
You can't do anything about tickets given away as that is nothing to do with you or what you paid. I use to get back stage pass cards and free tickets as part of my job. I didn't always go as I didn't always want to watch the show and in that case I would give those tickets away rather then waste them..My job allowed me to give them away.
Your issue is with what you got for the money you paid and nothing else I am afraid.
Did you complain at the time ?There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;

Actually the OP does have some chance
look at this
scroll down to 'Making a complaint about a ticket or an event'
For instance, if the tickets were NOT marked as 'restricted view' but the view was restricted;)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
