Hi Pigpen, so sorry to hear you can't run the thread any more. Best wishes. Thanks for the helping hand voer past year or so I have been dipping in. I'm not what you'd call a steady flyer, but when I do the house is a much nicer place!
Thanks to all those who have offered to contimue the thread...... having a list does help get me on track.
I'm not doing much this week...... half term, a week off work......and I get the flu! Took DS to cinema on Monday to see Contagen..... and I started sneezing half way through the film. (There was no mass exodus though..hardy people up north). Really recomend the film though.0 -

Your coalition are busy preparing for their term in office and I can assure you there will be no three line whip.
We are offering you a chance in democracy via a referendum so,
Do you want us to stick to lists as they are - Rooms per day and Levels 1-3? I
Would you rather we did a week of upstairs and then a week of downstairs?
Do you like concentrating on a room or would you rather say hoover everywhere one day, wipe everywhere another day.
Are you up for some new challenges (these would be optional extras)
We don't want to change anything that is working and you are all happy with but are also willing to modify things if it will be helpful.
Feel free to post on here or pm one of us, thanks Dusty x
I like the lists the way they are now but I am happy to go with the majorityDusty i know this is asking alot but i would love to have the stars back espically now we're heading for christmas.I'm a big child really and i love a swinkly star...:rotfl:
I like challenges - the infamous half term head to head between PenPen and TNG springs to mind, as does Mudbaths 60 in 60. I liked the stars too, although again PenPen holds the crown for that but we were head for head for ages. Fully appreciate though that it was a logistical nightmare. I lose interest in standard lists tbh. Some sort of c'mas challenge would be good.
Old threads Dusty - was my house clean by any chance for months and months whilst we were selling? Hasn't been since but I like to look at the photos and remind myself it is possible.
ETA I also very much miss AnWsmum. Inspiration and a touch of perspective when I needed it, and Soappie who more than once made me do things I cba with.
I know Soappie is busy with her job but what happened to AnW's? Pen PEn etc, anyone know? Also, I was on the Flylady Group on FB but its no longer there, has that gone now aswellthe thread is a lot quieter than it used to be, I will say that.
I have been in a CBA mood this week so only been doing as little as possible when I come in but I will get it done at the weekend, bedcovers have all been ironed in prep for bed changes so I am doing a wee bit.
FFP - how is the wee one, did his surgery go ok, sorry never got a chance to catch up on last weeks thread x:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
Long Term Flylady0 -
Yesterday was binday... today I have filled 1.5 wheelie bins with rubbish and half of the recycle bin.
I have trashed the kitchen.. BUT.. the larder unit is sparkling.. though the sides are being binnedas soon as we can get to B&Q .. which will realistically be next week when they are back at school now. The new huge fridge is full!!! God knows how but it is. The baking cupboard now needs a good clean out.. Ill get OH on that next week too I think.
I did not find things with a "best before" of 2007..
DD3 is butt-kissing.. that or she has been taken over by a demon overnight! She ha been *gulp* helpful, and well behaved and nice!!!!!!!!!! It is quite disconcerting... but I have thanked her and praised her and hopefully she will be possessed tomorrow tooLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I might give you stars for completely my special challenges I have in store for you next week.
PenPen pops in from time to time, she loves stars so may be enticed back. AnW'sMum is having a break from the forum but I really really hope she will pop back one day as I miss her too.
I have realised I am not a natural nurse, certainly didn't miss my vocation there! Foolishly I have said DS3 can have neighbours to girls to sleepover tonight - I seriously doubt my own sanity, too many vinegar fumes I think. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Kids had a fab time tonight, they've come home with a mask they made, a spider and a carved out pumpkin..:D
I'm glad i took them and there really looking forward to the next event.
I'm shathered so i'll be heading to bed soon. It's DD's last day tomorrow and boy i'm looking forward to having a lie-in. She gets a week and a half off and the boys get 2 days. Boys are not impressed..Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Yes please, I like the room-per-day method, and the levels 1-3.:o
No thank-you - upstairs/downstairs isn't very good for us bungalow-dwellers.;)
Stick with what we know; doing a little of one type of job then changing to another type of job in the same room is better for aching backs/limbs than, say, hoovering the ENTIRE house, or cleaning ALL the windows would be.
As long as the new challenges are Extras to start with at least, I'm willing to give it a go.;)

Apologies for being so late - have literally only just logged onto MSE, as I already had the list copied on a Word.doc
I've scrubbed the kitchen within an inch of it's life today; de-gunked the taps (limescale - the bane of my life), de-gunked the WM drawer, defrosted the freezer, the whole nine yards.
Now so tired I could cry but I don't have the energy..... and Mr LW wants us to go down the pub!!:(
Ah well, tomorrow's another day, and I have a cheque to bank for minding Meg.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I have been a busy bee tonight
[STRIKE]Dinner (but awaiting on DH to get home ETA ?)[/STRIKE] he brought takeaway with him
[STRIKE]Finish ironing that is hanging around[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wash empty plastic tubs to go back in the loft[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort excess shoebox stuff(not much), for loft & next years boxes[/STRIKE]
Email sign manufacturer (new one has a split & needs replacement)
[STRIKE]Sort Freegle items[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Find a new charity shop bag (have 6 items already)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
Need to find sign invoice, and can't yet.....desk tidying going on..
And manners girl, virtual slap from on high! Many many thanks Piggers for all your lists over the years, its made a big difference to our home - and a well done to our new team, I look forward to your challenges, and wonder what you may find to fling at us!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
Evening! Love the idea of the extra challenges and will try my very best to complete:A. Saying that, list not completed today as spent three hours moving stuff round in the attic - we now have nearly everything stored in its place in the eves and the main floor of the attic is nearly clear ready for a carpet. We intend to put big toys up there such as scalextrix so it doesn't need to be taken down all the time.
Found quite a lot to ebay including some stuff i never thought i'd get rid of but I sold the darkroom stuff a few months ago and don't miss it so EVERYTHING MUST GO!
Quick s/s now then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Hugs to all xx0 -
LW - you're not supposed to wear yourself out degunking taps. You're supposed to spend your time conserving your energy so you can enjoy your time with MrLW when he's back from work. I know it's frustrating when there are things that need to be done and you can't do them, but you're going to have to learn to sit on your hands and listen to music. It won't make much difference if you leave the gunk a week, or dust the dragons a little less frequently. But you mustn't neglect MrLW, or yourself.0

DS1 is doing fine. Thinks he's brilliant then knackers himself out:mad::mad: He gets his stookie off t[STRIKE]omorrow[/STRIKE] later on this morning then a wound check next week. I need to buy a working shower tomorrow as he's not allowed to have a bath till the wound is fully healed. Although the first thing he's getting is his big trotters stuck in a pail of water and a pumice stone in his hand his stookie foot is disgusting:eek:I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0
