    from Sky News...
One woman who heard that a container full of £130,000-worth of her possessions - including irreplaceable family heirlooms - had been broken into condemned police for not protecting her property.

Anita Bokdal said she and her husband, who were transporting their property from Sweden to a wine farm they have bought in South Africa, were "in shock" that the crate had been emptied of its contents.

"It's terrible that they steal everything from us. I don't know why anyone would take it and I do not really understand why the police weren't there in the very beginning to stop this," she said.

D'you know... I passed a broken down car transporter, laden with nice, new, shiny Mercedes, on my way back from work yesterday.

    Now then....

a bloke with a liverpudlian accent was rumminging through a container which has someones personal effects...the reported asked him if he thought what he was doing wasmorally wrong his answer. Nah its on the beach im not stealing it its free!!!

I'm surprised the Liverpudlian waited for the vessel to sink before taking the contents! :D

As usual, it will be the people who can afford the time and money to go down there who will benefit... I wonder how much actually be donated to the local economy, or donated to those who really need it.

  • I am amazed at what is happening on that beach...Peoples goods are being stolen and cast aside, years of memories lost. This is theft pure and simple and you have got to hope that convictions follow. Scumbags.

I agree, I saw on the news a middle aged couple searching through everything and the man picked up what looked like a fruit bowl, studied it then put it down, then picked up a large picture and gave it a good look over like they would do in a shop, thought it was disgusting as it was obvious it was someone's personal possessions that was being shipped over to somewhere
