whilst you're on your way to Dragons can you please pop in here? soon i'll have a much bigger place to tidy and clean as well as deep clean this place once we've emptied it. We could keep you in work for ages.
Ooo, if I work this out right, I may not need a home of my own for ages!! *gazes off into the distance* I shall lead a nomadic life...driving from one domestic crisis to another, for as long as the people of the UK need me...0 -
"And this season's 'must have' is the fetching look of a handkerchief stuffed up a nostril..."And it has taken you *how long?* to come to this realisation?
So were your guts fetching as garters then?Grown up kids shouldn't sponge of their folks....the odd treat here and there isn't a problem, but I've already been lurking here for a while.

SuperNora! Sounds like we need to get you a coloured cape and a superpower object of some sort - a broomstick might not be quite appropriate... oh of course, magic knitting needles! :j

*raises head, meercat style* a cape and a superpower object you say?? *links arms with Rosa* Let's talk....happy with a broomstick you know...especially if it can be flown...
Anyway....
Haven't posted in a bit - never really sociable around new year. Most years it's spent with a couple of good friends, the sofa, a takeaway and a movie...bliss. This year was notched up a scale by a bit of a gathering of friends - but truth be told, I'm not sure any of us was massively in the mood. Still, lovely to see them all.
Today I've had the sulks - and have no doubt been a joy to behold!:D *wonders if this explains why her mother retreated from the field for most of the day*
Nothing serious, just a case of the "OMG, I'm back living at my parent's place with no prospects and no-one to blame but myself" blues. I get days like this - logically I know I'm in the right place, heading in the right direction etc. etc. but today I reserved the right to sulk about it.
Of course, after a few hours of this, I had really just managed to annoy the hell out of myself by being so self-pitying. Therefore began a bit of a spring clean of the house to work my way out of the funk. Never fails me - much more sensible mood now, and with the added bonus of fresh linen on the bed and three sorted and decluttered rooms now just waiting for me to scrub them clean later today...fab!
On the MSE front - did a financial review today...which is really all Rising's fault as I was perfectly content just being lazy and sulky this morning, and then I read her diary and it was clear I was going to have to make some sort of effort myself....;)
So, December ended as a bit of a damp squib really - hammered the overdraft which cancelled out any real benefit from overpayments, extra little bit in the paypacket etc.
Daft behaviour, but useful motivation to slap myself upside the head (no, I don't need volunteers to help - thanks!!), and get myself back in order.
So, budget sorted, hitting the cash machine tomorrow to take out the weekly budget only (meaning I can leave my cards at home), and 15 NSDs planned this month....race ya Freeby! :rotfl:
