Sounds like you have it all in hand to me, very exciting. :)

Not bad, the piles of boxes are muchly reduced thanks to the recycling collection this morning which means I should have been spending the day unpacking some of the newly uncovered boxes but I haven't. Am back at work tomorrow which I'm actually quite looking forward to, and have already sold my soul in return for a guaranteed 20 hours over time this month.

I have managed to declutter several random chocs I found in a box and finished off the second of my mini cross stitch kits though - I'm going to claim they count as progress, lol.

Have sobered up now and my Wonder Woman costume has been put safely back in the cupboard (yes I really do have one) In my defence tho it was a present :whistle::whistle:

Feeling all fired up now for a bit of knitting and tightening of the purse-strings...Am I in the right place by any chance??? :D:D:D

  • Guess whose council tax cancellation obviously hasn't gone through yet....

£98 out of the bank account this morning!

Now, I know I've sent the letter, and that the local authority are pretty good at sorting such things out, but it's another of those things I could've avoided if I'd been organised and sent off the letter to them in advance of the move.

I never do NY resolutions, but if I were to make one general promise to myself, it is that I will become more organised and prepared.

So with that in mind, I've just been redoing my spreadsheet for this month, and have counted out my cash for 'pocket money', petrol and other known spends into their relevant 'pots' (making today the spends day...and hopefully allowing me a chance at getting in some nifty NSDs ahead of that crafty evil genius Freebyious Fiftyous....

*snigger* it's like giving myself lunch money!!

So what else are you going to do in the "organised and prepared" line?

    *sigh* There's always one...;)

Well, I've got some trekking to do tomorrow and have updated the sat nav with the two places I need to get to; got petrol; and confirmed with both parties that we're all still on for visits.

What else...I have a fresh box of tissues ready for my next sneezing fit, chocolate coins by the bed in case of a nightmare (I'm with JK Rowling on this - the only response to a nasty experience is a truck load of chocolate)...and....um...oo! I know what I shall be wearing tomorrow!

    :D

In slightly more serious mode (but only slightly) one of the places I'm off to tomorrow is back down to G-dad's for a few house to visit - on a quieter day, without the relies around. Much as I'm loving staying with mum, I do need to think about taking a step or two forward otherwise I'm worried I'll get too comfortable here.

I'm also getting stock prepped for the online shop - not huge amounts, but enough to cover an order or two in quick time so I'm not in a mad panic at the last minute (my usual trick).

oo, and I've been arranging a visit back oop North next week to retrieve the stuff I left tucked in random sheds etc., and to tie up loose ends.
