    *sigh* There's always one...;)

    Yep, and it's usually me.
    :T:T:T:T :j:j:j:j :beer::beer::beer::beer: :j:j:j:j :T:T:T:T
What else...I have a fresh box of tissues ready for my next sneezing fit, chocolate coins by the bed in case of a nightmare (I'm with JK Rowling on this - the only response to a nasty experience is a truck load of chocolate)...and....um...oo! I know what I shall be wearing tomorrow!

The remanants of chocolate coins you snarfed during the night? ;)
In slightly more serious mode (but only slightly) one of the places I'm off to tomorrow is back down to G-dad's for a few house to visit

That's a hellish drive for a few hours. Or do you avoid the M25?
oo, and I've been arranging a visit back oop North next week to retrieve the stuff I left tucked in random sheds etc., and to tie up loose ends.

Oop North being the Midlands? You're definately back in the South... ;)

    Muppet. ;)

I'll have you know that following years of experience, I can actually open the coin, remove the chocolate and put the foil back together so that it looks undisturbed (until you lift it obviously)...I'm like a chocolate cat burglar...(well now, that really didn't come out right, did it??)

Nope, M25...bridge/tunnel...etc. Not that hellish if the traffic behaves. First stop is only an hour from my front door, adn second is 40 mins on from there, so should be fine - and nothing compared to the 6hr round commute I've been known to do up to the West Mids!

I am! Speaking to a West Mids mate the other day and she mentioned that my accent has 'gone weird and you're speaking fast again'.

Anyhoo, enough of me (v.dull). How're you?

Hell. Not too bad when the weather is cold.

Actually I shouldn't laugh. It may end up happening to me one day.

If I get hit on the head or something...

    No it isn't.

I'm fine - taking the week off work :T.

As I could probably have predicted - I've got nothing done. But binmen woke me up this morning which is my excuse, and I'm sticking to it...

Just listening to the radio and marvelling at how many songs are censored...

    Hi there Nora!

Given the speed your thread moves at, I have no chance of getting caught up. But just wanted to say hi and well done on all the knitting.

I'm also a JK Rowling fan and have bought the full Harry Potter set with Christmas money. I plan to watch all 8 films back to back and eat as much chocolate as I can while doing so.

    Happy 2012! :snow_laug

I eventually moved up there in order to live 15 mins door to door...but it took a long time to get to the stage where that was possible...hence long commutes in the meantime. The M6 and I know each other very well!! ;)

What - your accent will be considered 'weird' by West Midlanders, and 'too fast' for their ears??
    No it isn't.
Is too - and as the person living said life, I get to win this one (nuh, nuh, ne, nuh, nuh :p).

Good for you for taking the week off, and there's nothing wrong in using it to do naff all...we all need a break at times. Mean binmen though!
    How's you?
Trundling along nicely ta. Hacking cough and snotty cold continues to charm those around me....and it's ability to keep me from sleep meant mum got way too much amusement yesterday when I tried to push a dirty plate in the washing machine rather than the sink...

I salute your commitment to the cause madam - how young do they all look in the first one!! And Dame Maggie....national treasure if ever there was one.

Ooo, to you and the scary snowman too! (He is a little scary - right? I mean it looks like he's the snowman version of pacman!!).

The M6 and I know each other very well!! ;)

Fortunately I avoid the M6 over most of it's length. I'm a country lane sort of person...

That it'll change in a southerly direction given a sufficiently bad head injury. I'll be putting 'r' into words where they don't exist. Like Bath.

Washing machine is like a dishwasher, except the cutlery tray is smaller, and the plates tend to shrink... ;)

If these wee smilies had sound effects, demented snowman :snow_laug would be saying MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I'm trying to scare my debt into submission. So far it's working. ;)

  • Evening.

It's true you know (and I say this as someone whose normal state is somewhere around the 'grumpy' mark most days). While a lot frustrates me, I really don't generally hate things...or people...or even fast moving, big hairy spiders...

To be honest, I don't believe there's much in the world to rate that level of effort on something so negative. So no, I don't hate as a rule.....

But I'm really starting to consider making the effort with BT!

This morning those bright young things over there at Billionaire Towers decided to take £58 from my bank account. Final bill? Nope - it's the (constantly incorrect) direct debit they've been taking for months now...despite me complaining every month, and them agreeing that it'll be reduced to £43 (every month).

And the reason it's been taken this morning?? Because they don't give you a final bill until up to 40 days after your service is cancelled (according to the chap who enjoyed my call this morning :D - who also told me that it was usually generated within 7 - 10 working days, but that BT like to use the full 40 days to 'help the customer'!!:mad:), and, and while they're not giving you a final bill, the old payment regime stays in place...EVEN THOUGH IT'S ******* WELL WRONG!!! NNNNNAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGG!!

I didn't mind the council tax malarky - because that's largely my own fault. I don't even mind the horrendous water bill I paid this morning - because I like to be clean, and I understand that the water I use to enable this must be paid for....but for crying out loud, BT - who died and made you Hotel California??!! *twitch, twitch*

If anyone needs me, I'll be over here, rocking gently against the padded wall....

If it's a direct debit, phone your bank up and say you want it back pronto as per the direct debit guarantee. And BT will see it evaporate from their huge bank account. Then cancel your direct debit and tell BT you want a final invoice.

    Ta for the advice.

Went through all of that with the chap from BT this morning, but apparently it doesn't get me my final bill any quicker...it will, however, be deducted from the final bill so I'm inclined to leave it as money will be even tighter next month. But...just...GRRRRR, you know? Grrrrrrrrrr *sucks in another breath* rrrrrrrrrrrr!
