Yep, and yep - been overpaying for nearly a year now. Go on, admit it, you're almost impressed...;)

    Just checking... :p

I know it is something I assume, and it turns out to be not true far too many times.

Do you know how much you've saved so far on it?

*ahem* nope, so long as I can pay it, I largely ignore it chugging along in the background. :o

Worked it all out at the time, and it hiked a lot off the total interest and meant I'd finish the repayments in a sensible time despite two repayment breaks taken in previous years. I suspect I could/should look at it again to see if it's the best use of the repayment money...but to be honest, I'm happy with it as it is. :)

Plus if Tescos does pay out the ppi claim (no reason why they won't as they've offered and I've accepted - but Martin says not to count on it, and Lord knows when they'll pay out, so I'm not holding my breath!), then I'll be chopping the head off the other debts and concentrating purely on this one as my last one.

Golly - just look at that...'my last debt'.... :D

No, that's fine. I was just curious, and it might be motivational some time when you need it.

Well if it is the last one, then there's no real reason to see if it is the best use of your money, as your money has no choice in the matter at that point...

    How are you feeling today?

    Much, much better, thanks.

After some wobbly thinking this morning, I've decided not to ponder great leaps and next steps until after the Christmas and New Year madness has passed. Mum's in no hurry to get rid of me (yet... :D), so there's no pressure except whatever I place on myself.

And it's nice to have more time to catch up with old friends over (free) cuppas and chocolate at their houses! ;)

That's a good way to approach it. You've made a big leap already. It may be time to give yourself a little run-up to the next big leap, rather than bouncing around like a kangaroo...

    And the scandal is..? ;)

I tell you, it's like a rolling Eastenders script around here... if I listen really carefully, I'm fairly sure I can hear someone screaming "RICKY!!"

My life was at one time, like an Eastenders script.

Except everyone could talk properly, and everyone could act...

So, not really anything like an Eastenders script at all then...:p;)

Well you were often left wondering how people could be so dumm. Isn't over-excitability and deep, existential stupidity the essence of Eastenders?

Oh good I am glad it is working out ok!

All looking lovely, and loving the ' the only pressure is from myself' bit. That can easily be changed :)
