For anyone impacted by Travellodge incompetence....Suggest that you escalate and/or complain to Guy Parsons, Travelodge Chief Executive, via sending an email to guy.parsons@travelodge.co.uk.
You may have to wait a couple of days for a response but you should get something back.
Good luck.0 -
I have just had an email from this company re-imbursing us for our night's stay at one of their noisy hotels-the noise was outside not inside and the room had no curtains just a blind which was ineffective against the early morning daylight. We also were given some vouchers to use in the next 6 months.
There were other complaints too.
I was very curteous in my correspondance and they were too. I was not happy with their first offer but am happy with the result. I am delighted with some of the sdvice on here I would not have known where to start otherwise.
I used the grant hearn email address.
thank you

Hi,
Myself and my partner were booked to stay at the above TL but we had to leave after 2 hours and two disgusting rooms.
Unclean, torn bedding, hairs on the sheets, holes in the doors, dodgy stain on a bedside lamp and an unclean smell in the rooms.
We had booked it via a saver price but we had cancelation insurance(only to find it was worthless) so far we have only been offered an e voucher for half the value.
I have emailed them back asking for a full refund, can any one offer any further advice?
Thanks0 -

I managed to get a full refund after contacting Guy Parsons after getting his contact details from here.0 -
Unrelated, but important I think - Travelodge IT systems must have been hacked and a number of customer details stolen and already misused.
At the very least spam messages are already being sent - ones of the deceptive type where they try to get you to 'work from home, processing payments' etc... (the nature of the spam is not what I'm discussing here though)
Alternatively - it has to be said - they might have sold at least the email addresses of their customers, but I somehow doubt it.
The reason I know that - my email addresses are very very specific - I happened to owe my own domain, so when I register at any website, I form a specific email address only for this very website. It looks like this - for Travelodge, the email address I gave is travelodge@myveryown'domain.com; similarly, for LastMinute my email address is lastminute@'myveryowndomain.com
So you see, if I'm receiving spam to an email address travelodge@'myveryowndmain.com then it could ONLY be if someone breached Travelodge's IT systems and stole that email address and possibly other details. And maybe many other Travelodge customer details.
If it makes sense...
The very least you could do is logon quickly to their website, change your password AND change your home address (and even name if you can) to something else - as of now, I've changed my address to their Head Office address.
So there, do whatever you see fit with this info
