I've just been watching an episode of QI on iplayer, with Brian Cox in it - didn't someone say the other day that they liked the idea of Prof. Cox attending a future party? Not that he does much for me, mind - I prefer someone who speaks a language I can understand! ;)

littlecal - I wouldn't mind a handful of Bombay mix, if I may?

daisiegg that tray cake sounds amazing. Any chance of a piece and the recipe please? :D I make crumble cakes with a sponge base and then fruit and crumble on top. Great way of using up tinned peaches when you have forgotten about the 6 tins of them in the cupboard and buy yet more.

I have a bottle of hazelnut baileys and lots of ice if anyone would like a glass.

PLEASE can I have the recipe for crumble cake. I happen to have a few tins of peaches in the cupboard and some random baking ingredients which may be enough to make cake/crumble thing :D:D:D

I'll be popping inand out of party as I'm crocheting hot water bottle cover for christmas present.. I have a RL glass of vodka with lemonade so it could be an interesting evening attempting to do crochet flowers. But on the upside this will be my last christmas present!:rudolf:

Frugal a woman that lives on my street, and who's daughter my sons used to play with, gave me a sob story about her husband being away for the week and her bank card snapping in the ATM. So I lent her the £50 I had in the house so she had food for the kids. I then found out that she was due back in court for sentencing as she had stolen/conned her 84 year old neighbour out of over £8000. I also found that she had tried this with other neighbours and in some cases had gotten money out of them. She kept avoiding me and when I finally managed to ask her for the money she told me that I would get it back on the following wednesday..the day that she was in court!. In the end I had to ask her husband for the money. He knew nothing about it of course, but was nice enough to give me the money back. It was incredibly stressful and upsetting, but all done now thank goodness. DH asked me why I was so upset as I've lent money to friends before with no problems or stress. I told him that it wasn't the money, it was the fact that she sat in my house and lied to me repeatedly. She made me feel stupid and unbalanced and question my own judgement.

*takes a deep breath and pours everyone a triple baileys* Sorry about that, it's still a bit of a sore point.

Now who has David Tennant's phone number? He must have given it someone.

Am I allowed to post links? If so...this is the recipe : http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1585637/raspberry-and-apple-crumble-squares

I can confirm they are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. I can also confirm they freeze like a dream - 40 seconds in microwave and they taste freshly baked again. Mmmm... must - not - get - more - from - freezer! I won't even tell you how many pieces I've already eaten...

  • Ducking out of this party ladies as I am on work very early in the morning but could be tempted if David Tennants phone number does surface and someone persuades him to come to the party.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
