Aw FTM thats such lovely news :D really happy for you.

Been having a bit of a mope things here are going from bad to worse..still no sign of the cooker being fixed and now OH is up for the sack :(
He's on a stage 3 warning due to 2 cataract ops and now a bout of a nasty viral infection but they're not disregarding his 2 ops so it looks like he's out

We've never claimed benefits..ever so its a scary prospect for us if he does get sacked.I can't work as I'm the main carer for the boys (the bendy one and 1 with Autism) sooo needing some positive vibes here today if there's any spare going peeps :(

Off to do some food shopping in a mo but worrying now if I should buy just essentials and leave the rest of the cash in the bank just in case.
Will be back later to catch up

For Goodness sake, get a grip! And newbie, stop trying to stir the pot and go and get a life. The post is way too obvious to be who everyone thinks it is.

I am in need of a new slow cooker. I need a tallish one as I dont have lots of room in the cupboard and it only needs to be cheap, cook enough for two and the inside must come out. Any recommendations please?

I am always singing the praises of the asda slow cooker £9

    http://direct.asda.com/ASDA-Slow-Cooker/001561754,default,pd.html?cm_mmc=Shopping%20Engines%20ASDA%20Direct-_-Google%20Base-_-Slow%20Cookers-_-ASDA%20Slow%20Cooker%20%20&istCompanyId=71f4ae42-94c5-4821-aa58-05eff6da2486&istItemId=wmiiltwt&istBid=t

it was £6 last year, My other tip is get it on home delivery from Asda with a voucher for free delivery. It has a low and high setting and is silver. I have to say I am in no way affiliated to Asda just like a bargain.

Also to FTM I am so jealous, I would love to be a granny nothing makes me smile more than a new baby. I did not see the post it seems to have been deleted but get the gist of what it seems seems to say. People who find the time to come onto a forum and be critical, spiteful and hurtful probably have very empty lives. As my parents always taught me if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all.

OMG - if I come to the party tonight that will be FOUR nights on the trot - two in RW and two virtual - not sure I am up to it!

Iv'e got half a Party 7 and some soggy cheesy wotsits - oh and a whole brown crab if anyone fancies tackling it, not sure I have got the energy to even pull it's legs off!

I have a horsehair flogger, a fur covered crop, a rubber thonged flogger and a big multilayer leather strap........which one would you like Hobsons Choice? I wouldn't personally say that using the tumble drier warrants using the strap, but each to their own ;)

Sorry, I don't know the full details, but surely it's not legal to be sacked for being ill. Wouldn't they only be able to make him redundant with a proper redundancy package?

Mardartha - I don't have room for a big one unfortunately. It has to go in my smallest cupboard.

Ohhhhh, wish you were nearer me ..... you could've had my tall one which would've given me an excuse to get the huge one Al*di have on offer this week!:o

I'd love this .... sigh .... http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_21496.htm and it would be great to do huuuuuggggggeeeee pots of casseroles to freeze but can't justify buying it as I've got one that works!

So sorry to hear your bad news D&DD. Sadly it does seem that employers can sack someone for being ill (on capability grounds) but it might be worth checking the Employment board - just be aware it's a bit of a bear-pit over there!

    Nope its the Royal Mail

    http://cwule.org/attend.aspx

Its an attendance issue unfortunately..although a postman with cataracts is not a great idea!
He had one absence last year while he had two ops for them then one absence at xmas for laser surgery as they'd left bits behind..then this one he was off for 10 days and he was genuinely ill.
In the 20 odd years we've been married somethings only put him in bed twice and this was one of those :(
