SDG - that sounds like a good day out to me.0 -
OK ladies (& gents!) how on earth did I get condensation on the OUTSIDE of my windows this morning???:eek:
I get this sometimes too but only on the most recently replaced double glazed windows. Apparently it is a sign that they are efficiently keeping the warmth inso you get the same type of build up that you get on the car overnight as not enough warm air is escaping from you house to keep the dew off. Well hopefully that's the reason anyway!

I also thought this thread was for all the ON and OFF topics people NEED to talk about. I don't only find the tips helpful but hearing about everyones lives helps as well. It helps when you think gosh I ain't the only oneI think the chit chat helps us all and I for one can waffle for England
Congratualations FTM just find a nice warm place to hide and a huge stash of toms for when they want you to babysit :rotfl::rotfl:

wow, that's wonderful! Congratulations to those getting this! I just have it heavily on the inside
I'm feeling quite pleased with my self as I pulled some pork out of the freezer for a meal and was feeling quite uninspired, but then found myself making something for a friend which resulted in some left over mulled wine, so I made a very delicious mulled wine pork dish, (lots of apples, onions and carrots too) which will do DH perfectly what ever time he gets home with some green beans and rice or potato. the freezer is starting to come into its own now, there is so much in there, there is no need to shop for meat and many vegs for ages and ages, I just have to use it more.:o I keep meaning to have a batch cook day, but just feel really uninspired (and too cold) in the kitchen atm.0 -

That's really good to know as I get this on my new lean to greenhouse - shows it's working - salads all winter for free :j.
I've decided to set myself a challenge to improve my fruit intake and to increase my repertoire (sp?) of vegetable recipes. I'm going to buy the Aldi Super 6 fruit and veg every fortnight and aim to use them all up within the fortnight (making recipes to freeze is allowed - there's only me to feed!) Only one cop out - if one or more of Super 6 is something I've got anyway because of home growing then I don't buy that but do use it.
So until November 5th I've got clementines, potatoes, leeks, mushrooms plus home grown apples and home grown squash. That's an easy start as I like all thoseSoup is bubbling as I write.
Congrats FTM - what do they put in the water round your way?"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
I'm not sure what I missed earlier *shrug* but when I started reading this thread, people made a point of saying that nothing would be off topic. I felt I would fit in well with some waffling
and would be able to learn some OS skills along the way.
Congratulations on the 3 babies FTM. What wonderful newsand how lovely that the sisters will be pregnant at the same time
did they know?
