I've been having a bit of a worry about money, hence my 'your wise words' thread and being on a no spend week! I am planning on eating out the cupboards and freezer for a while and making weird and wonderful concoxions out of the remnants when it gets to that point :-P
Speaking of freezers, it's certainly starting to feel wintery isn't it! I'll be damned if the heating is going on before november though!
Hi. I'm with you on putting the heating on as late as possible, but may I suggest that you test it this month, just to make sure it's working?0 -

Oh, there we are Ceridwen has posted you a link - The tough thread is more about focusing on the current economic climate as a whole, and ours is more of a light hearted support thread to discuss our own personal situations due to the economy.
Anyway, Im up! Ive stumbled out of bed and made it to the kitchen... have yawned, and stretched and try to come alive!
Ive just been and put the recycling and the bins out and blimey, its cold outside! Im praying and hoping that any bad weather just stays off another week.... My Dad is driving down with the van and dont want it to be any more difficult for him than it will be already!
The snow can stay in the hills for now and not venture near any of the roads and motorways and that would suit me just fine, thank you very much!! Im thinking Im going to be about £200 for fuel for the van already (plus extra for my car, so if it gets stuck somewhere due to bad weather, not only is that awful for my dad, but I'll be forking out even more... Plus, if I get there and the weather is bad, im instantly stuck in the back of beyond with no food!! :rotfl:
Regarding the Brechin/Angus area, does anyone know where the farm shops are, local farmers markets etc?
I have eleventy-billion things to do today so I best get on!!
Catch you all later. Have a good day.

Jo if you do,a forum search for the words farm.shop, angus and possibly dundee, you'll find some comments about it, I remember it being discussed before. Be sure to click the posts check button though, and not the threads on. I remember it because I used to live up that way and the place names were familiar to me.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Hi Jo, there are farmers markets somewhere every Saturday around your area, in Montrose, Forfar and Dundee, cant remember the rotation of it though. Not sure about farm shops in that district though, although there is a hut just outside St Cyrus on the johnshaven road in the side of a field that has piles of veg for sale - we were up that way and when I spotted it made OH turn about - very good quality and good prices. If you are up in Blairgowrie at your caravan, there is a 'produce' market once a month, but the majority of the stalls are home baking, jewellery, plants etc, - its more like a craft market (and quite expensive 6 cup cakes £10 - oh you get the box free though!) Anything you need to know about when your up at your caravan give me a shout, I am in Blair - born and bred!Every days a School day!0
