Well, my nan saw the Dr who has perscribed medication and today she was most definately 'with it' making sausage rolls and icing the xmas cake she'd baked with my kids. This follows several days of her claiming she's had money stolen from her locked house (we suspect she's either hidden or forgotten where she's put it) and then phoning my mum to explain the reason she's been acting strange is...because she's working undercover for the police -she's 87! :D

I scored 27% on the test. :D Re-gifting presents and taking own food into cinemas being my main ones. I have a bag specially for taking food into cinemas. :D My eldest (11 3/4) is currently costing me a small fortune in snacks when he wants to go ice-skating etc at last minute so have decided that I am going to have a 'bag-to-go' filled with snacks and drink and a trolley token for lockers so he can take that with him instead. I've also done mr S a small hamper of ambient food as an xmas pressie as he frequently works away stopping o/night and costing us a small fortune in buying food.

Just popped in to see how you all are and see there's another raft of terrible news.
I'm so very sorry that lots of people are having to deal with heart ache at the moment and I do hope that it all resolves very soon.
Here's to a peaceful Christmas for those who need one. Love and hugs and stuff all round.
FTM, you were very kind to me the other day. In return, I am sending up a special wish that someone will come and just wrap you up in their arms tomorrow and give you a warm cuddle to help ease your pain. A proper Mum hug. I can't do it as I'm not near you but I feel someone will for you. Much love to all xx

  • :xmassign:Popping in to wish everyone a Happy Christmas.

This is the first Christmas eve I do not have a child around, used to always have DGD but was at a friends last night and the mum not dropping her back at her home till this afternoon so for first time its only me to worry about till hubby comes home. So did hair last night ( usual blonde with ginger, the red will just not go away, so where its sandy/grey at front it goes to blonde but all back does it go lighter red and so gingery grrrrrr, can't find a red that is like my own and I don't like brown on me as have true redhead colouring ). So going to have shower then do nails and get ready for going out to watch film this afternoon then straight after will go and collect grandchildren and all go for a meal.

I hope everyone enjoys today rather than stressing it away, mind you that phew when last child in bed asleep and presents are put under the tree and you pick up a glass of wine cannot be beaten.

Hugs and Love and extra hugs to those who are not having such a good time for whatever reason xxx :xmassign::santa2:

I think this forum is full of angels. Happy Christmas all of you! :A:A
  • Sincerely sorry to hear your news - Shegar, FTM & Queenie - its never easy but it always seems more painful during Christmas time when the rest of the world seems to be having a jolly time.

    ((BIG HUGS)) to you all

On an old style note - managed to 'do' Christmas pretty much on budget - but scoring only 42% on the quiz has been a wake up call to have a rethink and tighten the frugality belt a few notches after Christmas.

Best wishes to you all for a peaceful Christmas
