Hey, I'm new. I'm sorry--I don't know what the "T-thread" is referencing. Can someone shed some light? Thanks.

Please excuse typos, 1) I am using an iPad and don't get on with it 2) I am disabled 3) I'll bite you if you get snarky about it.0 -

The OH's best friend who is also a good friend of mine, is going away on deployment in February next year. He always buys some lovely presents for us, but it's always something that we need - posh slippers, all terrain running shoes for the OH; that sort of thing.[/QUOTE]

I scored 79%
It could have been higher, but I give my cereal milk to the dogs, and I'd never thought of picking up till receipts for other peoples points until I read it on MSE recently, but I'd have no shame doing itI'm always happy to take other peoples points if they offer them to me at the checkout as they don't have a card, or don't have it with them, that's happened a couple of times. Last year someone put the points from their massive new telly on my card :T

Morning everyone
I'm waiting for an old friend to visit this morning, so don't want to start doing something in case he then arrives. His visit depends on if his roof is easy to fix or not, so here's hoping it's just a couple of loose tiles. I haven't seen him in an age so fingers crossed we get to catch up.
Today I need to ice the christmas cakes I made and give then to friends, make up a couple of batches of mince pie pastry and shortbread dough and try to get my DM to give me a proper answer about when my family is planning to visit.
My sister mentioned the 30th yesterday, but we are at my DPIL's until the evening of the 29th. So I need to know one way or the other so I have food in the house for lunch. I have to admit that I'm feeling like I'm low on their list at the moment and am tired of making all the effort. It's my nephew's first Christmas and I'm not going to get to be a part of it. Oh well, if all else fails I will have to see if the local chippy is open that day.
Take care everyone and extra big festive hugs ((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))0 -

I got - erm... 37%.
Money saving - what's that?
On the plus side, I went to the post office at lunchtime to collect a parcel (a plant I got cheap courtesy of the MSE email) and found that the second one I'd ordered was also waiting for me, despite the fact they were dispatched 3 days apart. That means I'm only waiting for one more item and I've then got everything I ordered, and with oh, at least 24 hours to spare. (I cut things very fine indeed this year - I must make an effort to be more organised next year.)
Hugs to everyone who's feeling down at the moment.Back after a very long break!0
